PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />August 14, 1967 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called <br />to order by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P. M., on Monday, August 14, 1967 <br />at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />I. C. Rustad <br />Robert Walser <br />Perry Malvin <br />Richard Johnson <br />Gary Lang <br />Also Present: <br />Richard Meyers, Attorney <br />Sheldon Boehm, Engineer <br />M /S /P (Lang, Johnson) To approve the minutes of July 10, 1967. 5 Ayes <br />M /S /P (Johnson, Lang) To approve the minutes of the Special Meeting <br />of July 26, 1967. 5 Ayes <br />M /S /P (Johnson, Lang) To approve the minutes of August 10, 1967, <br />Vote Canvass of the Special Election. 5 Ayes <br />Mr. A. M. Skooly of the Minnesota Safety Council presented a 10 year <br />Pedestrian Safety award to the Police Chief, Ernest Grabowski. <br />Fred O'Neil Food Service presented construction plans to the Council. <br />Formerly known as Blue Nose, it is now called Fritzes - minor changes <br />have been made in the building layout. <br />A question by a resident on the status of an open field near County <br />Road I and Jackson - complains of rats in the area. Inspector Skiba <br />and Chief Grabowski will check on this. They will also check the <br />swamp by Erickson Road. <br />A resident complained that the Chies dump is smelling up Mounds View <br />again. We will contact New Brighton again to request that they do <br />something about it. <br />Mrs. Dennis Mc Guire questioned disposition of the area behind the <br />park (swamp area) and the drainage ditch. The area is near Sherwood <br />and Greenfield. Wally will check to see if we can get into the area <br />to cut the weeds. We cannot develop it yet, at this time. <br />Mayor Rustad questioned the amount of their interest, and requested <br />that they contact our Park Committee and try to work out a solution. <br />A resident questioned building another garage (beside attached garage) <br />in which to store a camper. <br />M /S /P (Malvin, Johnson) To issue a Special Building permit to Bill <br />
