PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />March 11, 1968 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, March 11, 1968, at the Village Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Rustad <br />Clerk Walser <br />Trustee Johnson <br />Trustee Malvin <br />Trustee Lang <br />Also Present: <br />Engineer Boehm <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Mayor Rustad announced that it is Girl Scout Week and introduced honorary <br />councilmen from Cadette Troop # 26. <br />Mayor <br />Councilman <br />Councilman <br />Councilman <br />Clerk <br />- Carol Craver <br />- Ruth Scholzen <br />- Christie Gillespie <br />- Julianne Fieldseth <br />- Wendy Forslund <br />M /S /P (Malvin /Johnson) To approve the February 26th minutes. <br />Mayor Rustad announced he has received a letter from Mr. Lloyd Blanchard <br />requesting a waiving of the rubbish hauling license to permit the Boy <br />Scouts to haul garbage as a fund raising project for Troop # 167. <br />M /S /P (Malvin /Lang) To grant waiving of rubbish hauling license for Boy <br />Scouts from April 6 to April 20. <br />The Mayor directed the weed inspector to attend the meeting with the <br />Department of Agriculture on March 21, 1968. <br />A letter requesting water, sewer and streets in the Park View Terrace <br />Addition was read. The builder will use brick facing and above ground <br />construction. The cost of any preliminary plans made will be paid by the <br />builder whether they are put in or not. <br />M /S /P (Malvin /Johnson) To accept the petition and to submit it to the <br />Engineer for a preliminary report. <br />A variance request for Mr. James Carlson, 7932 Greenfield was presented. <br />M /S /P (Rustad /Lang) To grant variance to Mr. Carlson. <br />Mayor Rustad announced that a Federal grant of $552,000 for water improvements <br />was received by the Village. He thanked all of the people that had helped <br />to make this possible. <br />Mayor Rustad reported numerous dog complaints from Pinewood and St. Stephens <br />Street. The dog catcher has not responded as expected. The Mayor suggested <br />sending a letter to the dog catcher requesting strong enforcement of the <br />ordinance, that he respond immediately to calls, and request he attend the <br />next agenda meeting. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />
