PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />April 26, 1968 <br />A Special Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Rustad at 7:05 P.M. on Friday, April 26, 1968, at the Village Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Rustad <br />Clerk Walser <br />Trustee Johnwon <br />Trustee Malvin <br />Trustee Lang <br />Also Present: <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Walter Skiba <br />Mr. and Mrs. Werner and Mr. Eickstadt were invited, but were not in attendance. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to draft a cover letter to accompany the petitions <br />opposing the MAC airport locations, obtained by a duly appointed commission of <br />the Village of Mounds View. The following letter was prepared: <br />The Mounds View Village Council has officially accepted the enclosed <br />petitions, signed by 2,182 citizens of Mounds View, as obtained by a <br />duly appointed committee of the Village of Mounds View, opposing the <br />proposed two MAC Airport sites of Ham Lake and Blaine. <br />The Mounds View Village Council strongly recommends and requests that the <br />MAC give due consideration to this expression of opposition, as indicated <br />by the petitions representing 89% of those Mounds View residents contacted. <br />M /S /P (Johnson /Lang) To direct the Clerk to send this letter with the petitions <br />to MAC, <br />5 Ayes <br />M /S /P (Lang /Johnson) To adjourn at 7:50 P.M. 5 Ayes <br />Sipcerely, <br />Al Id2-69'L'' Robert A.
