PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />May 27, 1968 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 27, 1968, at the Village Hall, 2401 <br />Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: Mayor Rustad <br />Clerk Walser <br />Trustee Johnson <br />Trustee Malvin <br />Absent: Trustee Lang <br />Also Present: Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />Approval of the May 13th minutes was deferred to the next meeting. <br />Mr. Dahl of Colonial Village discussed an assessment split. It will be taken <br />care of later in the meeting. <br />A petition signed by all residents on St. Stephens requesting a street light <br />was read by Mayor Rustad. <br />M /S /P (Malvin /Johnson) To install a street light in the middle of the block <br />on St. Stephens Street. 4 Ayes <br />A letter from MAC announcing a meeting on May 31, 1968, at 9:30 A.M. at the <br />Anoka County Courthouse was read by Mayor Rustad. <br />Mayor Rustad read Planning Commission recommendations for Council consideration. <br />Merwin Barth requested a lot split and variance (recommended by the Planning <br />Commission), for Lots 1 and 2, Block 5, LaPorte Meadows Smuder Addition. Road <br />access was discussed and the availability of water and sewer were detailed by <br />the engineer. <br />M /S /P (Rustad /Malvin) To approve the Smuder preliminary plat and variance <br />subject to the signing of an assessment agreement. <br />4 Ayes <br />Merwin Barth requested approval of a preliminary plat, approved by the Planning <br />Commission with a 75 foot variance on the frontages of a 26 lot addition. <br />Part of Lots 38 and 39 and all of Lot 41, Auditors Subdivision #89. <br />M /S /P (Johnson /Malvin) To approve the preliminary plat of the 26 lot <br />Barth & Wakiriak Addition with variances. 4 Ayes <br />Donald Drung requested a subdivision of Lot 75 Spring Lake Park Knolls <br />Addition. Approved by Planning Commission. House placement on lots in <br />reference to street right of ways to provide access was discussed. <br />M /S /P (Malvin /Johnson) To approve the lot split for Donald Drung subject <br />to the signing of an assessment agreement and per Planning Commission plan <br />to set house as far South and as far back as possible on lot. <br />Richard Birdsall, 2251 Pinewood Drive requested a special use permit to <br />install copying machines in his basement for one year and renewable by <br />the Council. Approved by the Planning Commission. The attorney advised <br />that no special use permit is required subject to compliance with the <br />zoning ordinance. <br />4 Ayes <br />
