-3- <br />Trustee Johnson advised that signs along Oakwood, limiting parking to only <br />one side of the street will be up in one week. <br />Attorney Meyers submitted a draft to the Engineer, of a proposed ordinance <br />to allow use of non - metallic pipe, for review before Council action. <br />Attorney Meyers presented an ordinance to regulate service station construction <br />and to limit rezoning time. <br />M /S /P (Malvin /Johnson) To adopt Ordinance #150, removing service stations <br />from permitted used to uses by special use permit under B -3 zoning, and to <br />set a 90 day time limit on all conditional re- zonings. <br />Attorney Meyers presented information explaining action required to have <br />the Council covered by Workmen's Compensation. He will prepare an <br />ordinance. <br />Attorney Meyers reported on court trials. The Lametti case history was <br />reviewed. The difference between their bid and the actual cost by another <br />contractor was the amount of our lawsuit against them. The jury has ruled <br />that it was not an honest mistake and Lametti is liable but the amount has <br />not yet been set. <br />Engineer Boehm reported on the Adams to Erickson and Erickson to Quincy <br />walkways. They are on the maps and exist and should require no action. <br />M /S /P (Rustad /Malvin) To accept the final plans and specifications for <br />street improvement Project 1968 -1, a sewer and water continuation of 1967 -5. <br />The bid opening will be at 12:00 noon on June 17th. <br />Engineer Boehm suggested setting a hearing date on the new water project <br />involving the HUD grant. <br />M /S /P (Rustad /Walser) To set the hearing for 7:00 on June 25, 1968, for <br />Water Improvement Project - 1968 -3. <br />Engineer Boehm reported that Mr. Gustafson has announced proposed street <br />development hearings for next week, June 4, 5, 6 and June 11 and 12, for <br />several areas. <br />Mr. Earl Smith questioned the walkway between Quincy and Erickson Road. <br />There seems to be a misunderstanding of where the easement is located.
