PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />October 28, 1968 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Rustad at 8:02 P.M. on Monday, October 28, 1968, at the Village Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Rustad <br />Councilman Malvin <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Councilman Lang <br />Also Present: <br />Deputy Clerk Zylla <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />MSP (Lang /Rustad) To approve the minutes of October 14, 1968. <br />Mayor asked for bids on 1969 police station wagon. <br />Bidders were: <br />Midway Ford <br />Brookdale Ford <br />Southview Chevrolet <br />Art Goebel Ford <br />Market Ford Sales <br />Fairview Plymouth <br />Without Trade <br />$ 3,705.00 <br />3,733.00 <br />3,740.00 <br />3,780.38 <br />3,678.00 <br />3,664.00 <br />With Trade <br />$ 2,795.00 <br />2,958.00 <br />3,180.00 <br />3,030.00 <br />2,973.00 <br />2,959 .00 <br />3 Ayes <br />Johnson Abstained <br />MSP (Johnson /Malvin) To accept the low bid of Midway Ford for $2,795.00 less <br />$50.00 for no heavy duty shocks ($2,745.00). <br />Residents Requests and Comments: <br />Vern Olson desires to build another garage at 7933 Fairchild. Planning Commission <br />denied since he was not present at meeting October 15th. Referred to building <br />inspector. <br />Robert Waste wants approval for another building on his lot for rabbit housing. <br />Attorney stated special permit called for, and hearing. Waste stated apprc,val <br />previously given by building inspector and one Councilman. Johnson stated no <br />such approval given. Building inspector told to enforce code only. Waste may <br />have been misinformed in error. Howerver, he previously was told to contact <br />police for violation information also. <br />MSP (Rustad /Malvin) To set regular meeting for Wednesday, November 13th, at <br />8:00 P.M. eliminating the November llth meeting because of Veterans Day. <br />4 Ayes <br />MSP (Rustad /Johnson) To set rezoning hearing for Arthur Attleson for Ex S 200' <br />of Lot 108, 109 Knollwood Park Addition R1 - R3 for November 13th at 8 :30 P.M. 4 Ayes <br />Otis Hilbert presented rezoning application for storage and minor truck repair <br />at 1859 Highway #10. A motor carrier. Told he needed I -1 zoning with action <br />needed by Planning Commission. <br />
