2 <br />Councilman Johnson's Report <br />Councilman Johnson commenting on the NSSSD reiterated that as yet the sewer <br />district has received no formal offer from the City of Minneapolis. <br />Councilman Hodges' Report <br />Councilman Hodges read excerpts from the Parks and Playgrounds committee <br />meeting minutes of February 26, 1969 in which the committee recommended <br />further study be given to tennis courts, park equipment, footings on rink <br />houses, the lighting of rinks, the general maintenance of warming houses, <br />and future land acquisition. <br />Councilman Blanchard's Report <br />Councilman Blanchard read a letter from Northern States Power in which a <br />gas increase of 4.5( per thousand cubic centimeters of gas was announced. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Johnson) To grant the Scout camping fraternity the use of <br />the Village Hall, May 9th from 7:30 to 10:00 o'clock p.m., subject to usual <br />clean up conditions. <br />Walter Skiba read a report from Chris Piehowski who was unable to attend. <br />Apartment buildings by Preferred Builders were inspected and generally are <br />good but are in need of small repairs. Don Babinski is planning a 17 unit <br />in the Parkview Terrace Addition. Piehowski recommends that any changes <br />in plans be made only by a registered engineer. Piehowski also noted that <br />a 12 inch variance requested by Robert Eigenheer on 5230 Jeffery seems to <br />be all right by him. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />Attorney Meyers read a letter from the State Highway Department declining <br />to take any action at this time on a semaphore at the intersection of <br />Councy Road H2 and Trunk Highway #10. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Malvin) To appoint the First State Bank of New Brighton <br />direct depository for HUD grant contract # H(402) -3069 so that funds be <br />deposited in the public improvement fund account #00- 10153. <br />Rezoning hearing for Pinecrest Properties was called to order at 8:30 P.M. <br />by Acting Mayor Malvin. The Clerk read the legal notice and attested to its <br />publication in the New Brighton Bulletin February 27th and March 6th. <br />The East 110' of the South 170' of the North 640'; and The South 170' of <br />the North 470' of the following described property: Except the North 33' <br />for County Road H2 and except the Southwesterly 150' part of the East 1/2 <br />of the West 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 Northeasterly of the center line of <br />State Trunk Highway 10 -62 in Section 8, Township 30, Range 23, B3 to R3 rezoning. <br />Subject to highways and roads, the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of <br />Section 8, Township 30, Range 23, excepting the North 300 feet of the West <br />683.86 feet, B3 to R3 rezoning. <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />
