PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />April 28, 1969 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 28, 1969, at the Village Hall, 2401 <br />Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Rustad <br />Councilman Malvin <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Blanchard <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk- Administrator Zyl1a <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />MSP (Blanchard /Malvin) To approve the minutes of the regular and special meetings <br />of April 14, 1969. 4 Ayes <br />Johnson Abstained <br />MSP (Johnson /Blanchard) To approve the minutes of the special meeting of <br />April 21. 5 Ayes <br />Engineer Boehm's Report <br />Engineer reported that an application has been made with the Department of Trans- <br />portation for a permit for a water tower in Section 17. A special hearing will <br />be held May 22nd to decide on the feasibility of this water tower. The Engineer <br />advised it was a mere formality. <br />The Engineer also reported a letter was received from HUD in which they agreed to <br />the rerouting of the water mains in the Pinecrest Properties Addition. <br />The Engineer also stated that as of yet he has not talked to Dunkley Surfacing on <br />the feasibility of surfacing the walkway by Edgewood Jr. High School. <br />Mayor Rustad excused Engineer Boehm from the meeting. <br />Residents Requests and Comments: <br />Ray Jones from Superior Oil Company presented a proposal to abandon a service road <br />on the property at TH #10 and Highway Avenue. A representative from Country Kitchen, <br />et al were present also. Some discussion ensued at which time the Mayor suggested <br />that the Mr. Jones return at the agenda meeting to discuss the prospect of the <br />abandonment of the service road at greater length. Country Kitchen would like to <br />construct a restaurant up to the property line. <br />Mayor Rustad's Report <br />Mayor Rustad read an invitation from Lake Region Blue Line Club in which a member <br />of the Council or Recreation Committee was invited to a breakfast May 3rd at <br />8:00 A.M. to discuss the new ice arenas. <br />Mayor Rustad also read the Planning Commission minutes of April 15th. <br />
