Mayor Rustad referred a letter requesting the use of trail bikes on village <br />property to the Police. <br />Mayor Rustad read the police report for July. <br />MSP (Rustad /Malvin) To appoint Daniel McFarlane, 1936 County Road I, to the <br />Human Rights Commission to fill the unexpired one year term of Bea Ehlers, who <br />recently resigned. <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report <br />MSP (Rustad /Malvin) To approve the following licenses: Asphalt - Minnesota <br />Valley Construction Company; General - Vo Co Construction, Toppari Cement, <br />Imperial Garage Builders, Gerald Fleagle Concrete & Masonry, Culligan Water <br />Cond., Stone Masonry & Concrete; Heating - Loosen Plumbing & Heating; Sewer <br />and Water - Beyer's Excavating; Kennel - Jim & Lois Buckley; Restaurant and <br />Cigarette - Country Kitchen. <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />MSP (Rustad /Hodges) To approve the following checks: General - #3452 - 3493 <br />and Payroll #995 - 1015. Total disbursements - $32,751.63. 4 Ayes <br />MSP (Malvin /Hodges) To approve Resolution #446 apportioning the assessments <br />on the S 1/2 of Lot 81 Knollwood Park Addition for Vincent Achterkirch and <br />Doris Maske. <br />Councilman Hodges' Report <br />MSP (Hodges /Blanchard) To raide the salary of Gary Korf from $500.00 per month <br />to $564.00 effective August 15th. <br />Some discussion followed on the required probation and union membership for the <br />park man. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />MSP (Rustad /Hodges) To authorize the attorney to represent Mounds View regarding <br />the resolution recently passed by the Village Council concerning reimbursement <br />of connection charges and amendments to the sewer use agreement at the NSSSD <br />meeting August 12th. <br />Attorney Meyers also explained that a Mrs. Hill, 2008 Bronson Drive, had called <br />him regarding persons driving over her boulevard. Meyers advised her to sign a <br />complaint and asked the police to verbally inform her of this procedure. <br />Attorney Meyers announced that the Watson assessment appeal is before the Supreme <br />Court October 6th and that condemnation commissioners will be appointed August 29th <br />on Water Improvement 1968 -3 (HUD) and other miscellaneous projects. <br />Engineer Boehm's Report <br />Engineer Boehm Advised the Council that Country Kitchen has requested a temporary <br />water hook -up if necessary due to rapid construction progress on the restaurant. <br />Council has no objections. <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />
