2 <br />Councilman Johnson's Report <br />Councilman Johnson reported there will be a NSSSD meeting Tuesday night <br />to renegotiate existing contracts. <br />Councilman Hodges' Report <br />Councilman Hodges announced that he had obtained some information regarding <br />federal funds for park planning from Attorney Meyers. He also informed the <br />Council of the new recreation members as of the last meeting, Thomas Nelson, <br />Edward Lanz, Gary Reineike, Wayne Burmeister and Roger Baumgartner. Mr. <br />Hodges reviewed the minutes of the November 5th recreation meeting. Mr. <br />Hodges also stated that the piece of tax forfeited land located West of <br />Long Lake Road and South of Ardan was still being looked at by the Recreation <br />Committee, however he felt that it probably would be put up for sale. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />MSP (Blanchard /Malvin) To approve Resolution #463 authorizing the Village <br />Clerk to apply for tax relief on certain lands in the Village of Mounds View. 5 Ayes <br />Attorney Meyers announced that the Chies Brothers legal action is still in <br />process. <br />Attorney Meyers stated that the Council should go on record stating that it was <br />not solely the Mounds View Council who was and who is opposed to the sewage <br />treatment plant in Minneapolis. Chairman Honsey of the Metropolitan Sewer <br />Board also has gone on record against the plant in a newspaper article. <br />Attorney Meyers also stated that we have seemed to have reached a stalemate <br />with the Highway Department on carrier pipes under new Highway #10. <br />Engineer Boehm's Report <br />Engineer Boehm stated that a preconstruction conference will be held November <br />20th with the individual companies who were awarded HUD contracts under <br />Project 1968 -3. <br />Engineer Boehm also stated that under Schedule C the contractor has laid <br />2,000 feet of pipe. Layne- Minnesota has begun two wells each of which are <br />at approximately 100 feet. That the booster station adjacent to the Police <br />station has had some concrete poured. <br />Engineer Boehm also felt that Krohn Drainage Company deserved some recognition <br />for doing the digging for the repair of the gate valve at Woodcrest and Irondale <br />at no cost to Mounds View. <br />Clerk - Administrator Zylia announced that Ramsey County has issued a check to <br />Mounds View Village for $13,027.48 as Ramsey County's share in storm sewer <br />construction on or around state aid roads. <br />Engineer Boehm also stated we have applied for more federal funds for Project <br />1968 -3. <br />A five minute recess was called. <br />
