PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />January 12, 1970 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Rustad at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, January 12, 1970, at the Village Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Rustad <br />Councilman Malvin <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Blanchard <br />Councilman Neisen <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To approve the minutes of December 22, 1969. <br />MSP (Hodges /Neisen) To approve the minutes of January 5, 1970 corrected to <br />read Councilman Blanchard as being present, <br />Edward Wages, trustee for Teamsters Local #1145 requested the use of the <br />Launching Pad parking lot to permit the parking of a 16 foot house trailer <br />for the purpose of an office to be used as strike headquarters in the event <br />of a strike at Honeywell. The Council informed Mr. Wages of the previous <br />problems at that location when a trailer was moved in a number of years ago. <br />It was the Council's contention it would be permissible to park a trailer in <br />Mounds View if it was adjacent to a place without liquor and under the <br />circumstances the Council would deny placing the trailer at that location. <br />Mr. Wages stated that he would advise the Council of a new location sometime <br />during the week. <br />Chester Glisan, realtor, requested permission to park a mobile home on his <br />lot at 7800 Long Lake Road for approximately 60 days. The home belongs to a <br />couple who moved into a new home at 7746 Greenfield. <br />MSP (Rustad /Malvin) To allow the parking of a mobile home at 7800 Long Lake <br />Road for approximately 60 days subject to the removal of a for sale sign from <br />the mobile home. <br />A resident inquired as to whether the municipal water supply had been fluoridated <br />and on the time lag for re- hearing on rezoning petitions. Tentative rezoning <br />time lag would be six months according to the present proposed amendment. The <br />resident wanted it for a year. <br />Mayor Rustad's Report <br />Mayor Rustad read the Police Report for December and parts of the yearly report. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To set a rezoning hearing for Red Oak Estates, Chas Inc., <br />and Keith Harstad to rezone the property South of County Road H2 bordered on the <br />East by Irondale, on the West by Red Oak Drive for February 9th at 8:30 P.M. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Rustad /Malvin) To approve the following appointments for 1970. The firm <br />of Feinberg, Mirviss, Meyers, Schumacher & Malmon, attorney, Comstock & Davis Inc. <br />as engineer and Irene Edberg as treasurer. 5 Ayes <br />
