2 <br />Mayor Rustad read a letter from Fire Chief Ron Fagestrom commending Police <br />Chief Grabowski. <br />Also noted were letters from the Minneapolis Suburban Refuse Removal Association <br />and the St. Paul Association for Retarded Children. The latter requested a <br />representative be named to aid in setting up Rosevilles program for a summer <br />day camp for retarded children in the North Suburban area. Councilman Hodges <br />was named. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To authorize the payment of all necessary expenses for <br />Mayor Rustad to attend the University of Minnesota sponsored dinner and reception <br />in honor of Her Excellency Angie Brooks of the U. N. General Assembly March 12th <br />at 8:00 P.M. at the St. Paul Hilton. <br />Clerk - Administrator Zylla's Report <br />4 Ayes <br />MSP (Hodges /Rustad) To approve the following licenses: Garbage /Rubbish license - <br />Reamer's Rubbish Removal and Mobile Sewage Carrier - Anoka Cesspool Company. 4 Ayes <br />MSP (Rustad /Neisen) To approve General checks #3990 -4022, Bond checks #489 and <br />490, and Payroll checks #1350 -1372. Total disbursements $193,572.38. 4 Ayes <br />Councilman Hodges' Report <br />Councilman Hodges reported that there will be a recreation meeting March 10th <br />at 7:00 P.M. at the Civil Defense office in the maintenance building. <br />Inspector Skiba noted a potential sewer problem existed on Silver Lake Road and <br />Woodcrest. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />Attorney Meyers stated he has examined a resolution received from the Clerk and <br />found that Coon Rapids is collecting rec charges contrary to the sewer use <br />agreement. <br />In addition, he has received a form from White Oak Builders on their proposad <br />lake. He is examining it but still feels it would be better to require them <br />to plat to the center. <br />Attorney Meyers noted various excerpts from the summons served from Red Oak <br />Estates et al on the Village of Mounds View regarding the February 9th rezoning <br />request. <br />MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To authorize the attorney to prepare and present a <br />defense in Mounds View versus Red Oak Estates et al. <br />Attorney Meyers read a letter to Floyd Snyker, County Engineer, requesting the <br />return of about $24,000 on deposit and $7,225.00 in liquidated damages on <br />Project 62- 644 -04 (1965). The money has been turned over to the State. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To authorize Attorney Meyers to proceed to do what- <br />ever is necessary to protect the Village interest in this matter. <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />
