MSP (Neisen /Blanchard) To approve the following bills: General Ck #s 4168 - <br />4190, Payroll Ck #s 1464 - 1490 and WS- MINN -45 (1968 -3) Ck #s 009 & 010. <br />Total disbursements $19,556.43. 4 Ayes <br />MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve the final plat for Jirovec Addition and <br />to authorize the Clerk to sign it. 4 Ayes <br />Councilman Blanchard's Report <br />Councilman Blanchard announced that a rumor is circulating that the Fire <br />Department will be asking for more full time men in 1971 and he hoped that <br />Fire Chief Fagerstrom was aware when we prepared our budget. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />Attorney Meyers stated that he understood New Brighton was not sending their <br />contract charges to NSSSD. He was instructed to investigate with the NSSSD <br />what action was being taken in order to determine whether Mounds View should <br />retain their use charge payment. <br />MSP (Malvin /Neisen) To adopt Ordinance #176 deleting that portion of <br />Ordinance #174 requiring fire detection systems in single family and mobile <br />homes. <br />Attorney Meyers announced that the condemnation commissioners had made an <br />$11,000 award on the W 1/2 of Lot 9 Spring Lake Park Knolls Addition for <br />Project 1968 -3. Our appraiser made an award of $8,000. Council informed <br />Mr. Meyers to hold any action. <br />4 Ayes <br />MSP (Blanchard /Malvin) To adopt Resolution #487 relative to Watson <br />Construction Company partial payment. 4 Ayes <br />Attorney Meyers reported that he and Engineer Boehm had made an appearance <br />at the Chies versus Barton case. An attempt is still being made to recover <br />approximately $31,000 from Ramsey County which was deposited for a Silver <br />Lake Road sewer and water Project in 1966. <br />MSP (Rustad /Malvin) To authorize Attorney Meyers to appear before the Ramsey <br />County Board to request appropriate action be taken to return our monies now <br />held in escrow. <br />Engineer Boehm's Report <br />MSP (Rustad /Blanchard) To acknowledge that the Council ordered specifications <br />be prepared on May 18th, 1970 because an emergency was declared for repair of <br />Well #2 and to set the bid date for June 1st at 12 noon for Project 1970 -2. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Malvin) To set a hearing for street vacation for June 22nd at <br />8:30 P.M. for property which effects the development of the Spring Lake Park <br />Lutheran Church to be built on Ardan Avenue between Red Oak Drive and Eastwood <br />Road. <br />Council stated, with Mr. Dahle present, that they would consider the issuance of <br />a special use permit to construct a church that evening also. <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen /Rustad) To adjourn at 8:43 P.M. 4 Ayes <br />crfully Submitted, <br />Dennis S.
