The attorney turned over an award check for $50.00 which Peter J. Max and Winona J. Max have endorsed for our endorsement and deposit. Award of $300.00 to Vern Wilson will be held on deposit until he can be located. Attorney Meyers reported that the $11,000 property award of court commissioners for the well site and damages to property on Groveland Road near Bronson Drive had been appealed and that he had also appealed the award to protect the village interests. The village appraisal had been for $8,000. Meyers said assessments on the property reduced the net amount of the $11,000 award to about $9,910. Councilman Blanchard reported that New Brighton was behind in their payments to the N.S.S.S.D. and they had been requested to pay the delinquencies immediately. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 for the hearing. Mayor Rustad stated who had been sent legal notices and since the legal was quite lengthy it was not read.
