PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />September 28, 1970 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Acting Mayor Malvin at 8:03 P.M. on Monday, September 28, 1970, at the Village <br />Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: Also Present: <br />Acting Mayor Malvin Clerk- Administrator Zylla <br />Councilman Hodges Attorney Meyers <br />Oc'uncilman Blanchard Engineer Boehm <br />Councilman Neisen <br />Absent: <br />Mayor Rusted <br />MSP (Blanchard/Hodges) T. approve the minutes of September 14th. <br />MSP (Hodges /Blanchard) To approve the minutes of September 21st. <br />Residents Requests and Comments from the Floor <br />Mrs. Barbara Haake, 1740 County Road I, informed the Council that the City of <br />Fridley was considering making a swimming beach on Spring Lake. She felt that <br />the beach was unnecessary because of Lakeside Park and she requested the <br />Council investigate the matter. Mrs. Haake also requested a skating rink on <br />the South side of the lake. <br />MSP (Blanchard vin) To authorize the installation of street lights on <br />Raymond Avenue, Clifton Avenue and Belle Lane at the corners and at the <br />middle of the block and on County Road H2 from Jackson to Quincy Street at <br />the corners and the middle of the block providing the lights are in conformance <br />with the Norther States Power master plan. <br />Ed Dropps, Tom Swanson and Bob Carlson appeared for White Oak Builders to request <br />a water extension on Silver Lake Road from STH 10 to County Road I. <br />MSP ( Blanchard/Hodges) To order the engineer to prepare a preliminary report <br />and cost estimate for a water extension to serve the South of Lot 59 Aaditor's <br />Subdivision #3) for White Oak Builders (1970 -4). <br />No pet_tion was presented. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />Attorney Meyers stated that he has studied the model explosive control ordinance <br />and will hold for possible later Council action. <br />Attorney Meyers announced that he has received a copy of a letter from Raymond <br />Doyle on the Greenwood Drive assessments and mid 1960's easements. <br />Acting Mayor Malvin <br />Acting Mayor Malvin read the Planning Commission minutes of September 15th. <br />4 Ayas <br />4 Ayes <br />Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />
