Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report <br />MSP (Blanchard /Neisen) To approve the following licenses: Cigarette and <br />Gasoline Station - Elmer Peterson d /b /a Pete's Skelly and General Contractor - <br />Krey Construction Company, Inc. <br />4 Ayes <br />MSP (Hodges /Neisen) To approve the following bills: General check #s4817 -4849, <br />Payroll check #s1834 -1895 and STS - MINN -45 check #s 076 -077. Total disbursements <br />$22,035.88. 4 Ayes <br />MSP (Johnson /Neisen) To confiscate meter deposits totalling $215.76 to cover <br />uncollectible utility bills during 1970. 4 Ayes <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla announced that of a total billing of over $192,000 only <br />$53.95 is deemed lost or bad debts. <br />MSP (Hodges /Neisen) To enter into a contract with the Spring Lake Park Fire <br />Department to provide fire protection to the Village of Mounds View through <br />December 31, 1975. 4 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To accept the 1970 financial statement from the Clerk and <br />to authorize its publication in abbreviated form. 4 Ayes <br />Councilman Hodges' Report <br />Councilman Hodges gave a brief report on the last Recreation Committee meeting <br />in which the park plan was discussed. Mr. Hodges also obtained the Councils <br />direction to have Mr. Meyers accompany him to see Mr. Moga on possibly obtaining <br />his land as a village park. <br />Councilman Hodges stated that he had a letter from the School District requesting <br />a member of the Village Recreation Committee to serve on the District's coordinating <br />committee. <br />A request for the hall on February 5th by the Girl Scouts was referred to the Clerk. <br />Councilman Neisen's Report <br />Councilman Neisen announced that there has been a reorganization in the maintenance <br />department resulting in Jim Schlichtmann taking on the added responsibility of <br />the village park department. <br />Councilman Blanchard announced that he no longer felt the necessity of two <br />councilmen overlapping responsibility in the maintenance department, and there- <br />fore he would only remain a committee member in the maintenance department <br />henceforth. <br />Councilman Johnson's Report <br />Councilman Johnson emphasized the abundance of material in the 1970 financial <br />statement and urged any interested persons to contact the Clerk if they have <br />any questions regarding it or other problems such as explanation of tax rates. <br />4 Ayes <br />
