PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />May 10, 1971 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 10, 1971 at the Village Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard <br />Councilman Neisen <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Absent: <br />Mayor Rustad <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />MSP (Neisen /Blanchard) To approve the minutes of April 26, 1971. 3 Ayes <br />Residents Requests and Comments from the floor: <br />MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To approve the final plat for Random Addition and to <br />authorize the Clerk to sign it. 3 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen /Blanchard) To authorize the building inspector to issue building <br />permits for 5124 Red Oak, 5116 Red Oak and 5117 Irondale Road as these houses are <br />under the requirements set by Ordinance #185 passed April 12th in either room <br />size or square footage. <br />All three permits were applied for the day the ordinance was published and the <br />contractor claimed he misunderstood the last day to apply under the old standards. <br />The Council decided to discuss the room size requirement under Ordinance 185 at <br />their next agenda meeting. <br />3 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To set a hearing to consider moving a building into the <br />Village in part of the SE 1/4 of Section 8 (property east of the Mermaid Supper <br />Club) for Bennett Goldberg, co -owner of the Mermaid Supper Club, for 8:35 P.M. <br />on May 24th. 3 Ayes <br />MSP (Johnson /Neisen) To approve the final plat of Red Oak Estates and to <br />authorize the Clerk to sign it. 3 Ayes <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard's Report <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard read the police report for April. <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard read a letter from the League of Women Voters requesting <br />the appointment of four of their members to a newsletter committee. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Johnson) To appoint Carol Baumgartner- Chairman, Pat Gammell, <br />Connie Krussel and Betty Skelly to the Mounds View newsletter committee. <br />3 Ayes <br />
