PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />June 28, 1971 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, June 28, 1971, at the Village <br />Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112 <br />Present: <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Neisen <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />Mayor Rustad <br />MSP (Neisen /Hodges) To approve the minutes of June 14th, 1971. <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report <br />4 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen /Hodges) To approve the following licenses: Asphalt - T. A. Schifsky <br />& Sons, Inc.; Cement Work - Tom Kozitza; Excavating - Schulze Exc. & Grading, <br />C. W. Houle Landscaping; Gasoline Station - Highway #10 Service; General <br />Contractor - The Sussel Company, James Lund Const.,Inc.; Crown Iron Works Co., <br />Krey Const. Co., Inc., Culligan Water Cond. of N. St. Paul, Inc., Harstad -Todd <br />Const. Co., M. J. Arndt Const. Co.; Heating - Montgomery Ward & Co.- Retail, <br />Franks Heating & Sheet Metal, Advanced Heating & Air Cond., St. Marie Sheet Metal <br />Inc., Suburban Air Cond. Co.; Plastering or Outside Stucco - R. F. Total disbursements - $27,729.69. 4 Ayes <br />Clerk - Administrator Zylla announced that the State Building Code will begin to <br />affect the Village as early as July 1971 since we will have to start charging <br />surcharges on almost every construction permit issued. <br />Councilman Hodges' Report <br />Councilman Hodges reported that he will be meeting with Kraus Anderson and Cushman <br />Minar on obtaining at least 20 acres of property for park purposes on the Northeast <br />corner of Silver Lake Road and County Road H2 on Wednesday of this week. <br />Councilman Neisen's Report <br />MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To order the installation of street lights at the intersection <br />of Spring View Lane and Knollwood and on Groveland Road between Bronson Drive and <br />County Road I. 4 Ayes <br />Councilman Neisen stated the problems that have occurred in trying to get Ramsey <br />County to finish sweeping our streets. He felt that he would be meeting soon <br />with the Ramsey County superintendent to discuss their failure to finish at least <br />one month ago. <br />
