PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />December 13, 1971 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 13, 1971 at the Village <br />Hall, 2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Neisen <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk - Administrator Zylla <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />Mayor Rustad <br />MSP (Neisen /Hodges) To approve the minutes of November 22nd. <br />Residents Requests and Comments from the floor <br />MSP (Neisen /Hodges) To approve the use of the hall for a Christmas party on <br />December 30th from 7:30 to 12:00 P.M. for Randy Wall and Mark Schlichtmann <br />subject to the same provisions as last year. <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard's Report <br />Acting Mayor Blanchard read the Police report for November. <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report <br />MSP (Hodges /Neisen) To approve the following licenses: Asphalt - Fairfax <br />Asphalt; Gas Installer - Pak Company, Inc.; General Contractor - Kootenia <br />Builders, Inc., Heath Construction; Garbage /Rubbish Hauler - Kersten Truck <br />Service and Sewer and Water - Dailey Homes, Inc. <br />MSP (Johnson /Neisen) To approve the following bills.: General checks 5689 <br />consecutive through 5751, Payroll checks 2404 consecutive through 2423 and <br />Bond check 604. Total disbursements $242,013.88. <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla reported on the bid opening at 12 noon for the 1953 <br />Dodge dump truck and the 1957 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup. He stated that two bids <br />were received on the 1953 Dodge dump truck. No bids were received on the 1957 <br />Chevrolet pickup. The two bids were Forrest Bellows $226.00 and Hokanson <br />Plumbing $200. <br />MSP (Johnson /Neisen) To reject both bids because they are unreasonably low. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Johnson) To accept the resignation of Patrolman Gary Kreyer <br />effective December 17th and to authorize the Police Civil Service Commission to <br />proceed with their selection procedures for a replacement. <br />MSP (Neisen /Hodges) To authorize the Building Inspector and the Electrical <br />Inspector to attend the 16th Annual Institute for Building Officials and <br />Inspectors to be held January 17th through the 19th at the Lemington Hotel for <br />a registration cost of $35.00 per person. <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />
