MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To approve the request of the Mounds View Lions Club to <br />conduct Bingo starting on Monday, January 17th and every Monday thereafter for a <br />period of thirteen weeks with hours of operation from 8:00 P.M. to 12 :00 P.M. <br />The game is to be conducted at the Bel Rae Ballroom. <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla announced that School District 621 has submitted a <br />check for $20,917.27 for payment owed for assessments due as a result of litigation <br />involving Projects 1965 -1, 1967 -5 and 1968 -1. A stipulation of dismissal was filed <br />in district court on October 22, 1971. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Johnson) To adopt Resolution #554 directing and authorizing the <br />chief of police to support and share in the participation of a training program <br />conducted by the Village of Roseville in conjunction with the Governor's Crime <br />Commission. <br />MSP (Blanchard /Hodges) To accept a certified check for $5,000 for Johnson Bros. <br />Highway and Heavy Equipment Contractors with the agreement to release the check <br />if the remaining work left under Project 1971 -1 is completed by July 1st. The <br />check is to be returned to Johnson Bros. after approval has been granted by <br />Ramsey County and the Village Engineer. <br />A letter from Fire Chief Ron Fagerstrom requesting clarification on possible <br />conflicts between the State Building Code and Village Ordinance #174 relating <br />to the Fire Code was referred to Attorney Meyers. <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />4 Ayes <br />MSP (Blanchard /Johnson) To adopt Resolution #555 apportioning the assessments <br />on Division #44339. 4 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen /Blanchard) To adopt Resolution #556 apportioning the assessments <br />on Division #44006. 4 Ayes <br />Councilman Hodges' Report <br />Councilman Hodges reported on the list of warminghouse attendants approved by <br />the Recreation Committee and on a meeting held with the Lakeside Park Commission. <br />MSP (Hodges /Blanchard) To approve the following rink attendants for 1971 -1972 <br />at a rate of $2.00 per hour: Norman Lelm, Phil Buck, Clarence Nordstrom, Dave <br />Moore, Bob Lind, Ken Lelm, Bruce Munholland, Bill Newman, Ken La,fquist. and <br />Ron Cloflin. Substitutes are Steve Hagen, Dale Meyer, Dennis Nihart, Don <br />Van Reese and Bill Mezzano. Mr. Nordstrom is to have supervisory responsibility <br />over all the rink attendants. <br />Clerk - Administrator Zylla was authorized to inquire whether there are any schools <br />available on the maintenance of ice skating rinks. <br />Councilman Neisen's Report <br />MS (Neisen /Johnson) That Keith Harstad be required to have a soils report by an <br />accredited testing lab on the property to be considered for commercial and town- <br />houses at the hearing scheduled for January 24th, and that it be furnished to the <br />Planning Commission before any action is taken by them in referring the matter to <br />the Village Council. <br />MSP (Johnson /Blanchard) To amend Councilman Neisen's motion to include that <br />Mr. Harstad also provide the information requested in Son 106 of the <br />Subdivision Regulations with the exception of Section 106.2 -8. <br />4 Ayes <br />3 Ayes <br />Blanchard Naye <br />
