PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />February 14, 1972 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Neisen at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 14, 1972 at the Village Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Neisen <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Councilman Baumgartner <br />Councilman Pickar <br />Also Present: <br />Utility Billing Clerk Sandgren <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />Absent: <br />Clerk - Administrator Zylla <br />MSP (Hodges /Johnson) To approve the minutes of January 31st with the correction <br />on page two that the last motion was seconded by Baumgartner. 5 Ayes <br />Residents Requests and Comments from the floor <br />Mr. Ted Moore of 5454 Jackson Drive complained about the on street parking of <br />the occupants in the apartment building at 5445 Jackson Drive. Cars have blocked <br />his mailbox several times and the mailman was unable to deliver his mail. Mayor <br />Neisen will talk to the Police Chief and ask him to make a study of the situation <br />to be presented at the February 28th meeting. The Police Chief can make a <br />recommendation to restrict parking on the street, and the street could be posted. <br />Mr. Moore also inquired as to the proper procedure to have a street light installed. <br />He was informed to present a petition to the Council. Since there are only <br />apartments near the intersection of County Road I and Jackson Drive where Mr. <br />Moore wishes to have the street light installed, Councilman Johnson said he <br />would look into the matter and make a recommendation to the Council. <br />Mayor Neisen's Report <br />There was no police report. <br />MSP (Hodges /Johnson) To authorize the Mayor to sign the Joint Powers I.S.D. <br />#621 Teen Center Agreement. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Johnson /Pickar) To approve the Assignment of Securities in Lieu of Bond <br />Depositories of $200,000 Federal Intermediate Credit Banks due 11/1/72, $25,000 <br />Crystal, Minnesota -Gas -Water Revenue due 2/1/77 and $25,000 Columbia Heights <br />ISD #13 due 2/1/77 held by First State Bank of New Brighton, and authorize the <br />Clerk to sign same. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen /Pickar) To accept the bid of Ebel - Ramacher Corporation, 41 West Road, <br />Circle Pines,to remodel the maintenance room by removing door and replacing same <br />with new jam, boxing in north entrance, stripping three walls, installing 1/4" <br />paneling. All labor and materials to be furnished for $538.00. <br />Mayor Neisen reported that Clerk Zylla was enjoying a skiing trip to Aspen, <br />Colorado. <br />Councilman Hodges' Report <br />MSP (Hodges /Johnson) To approve the following licenses: Cigarette - Leo Burnett, <br />Mgr., Eagle Industries, Inc. for Mounds View Standard, 8154 Spring Lake Road; <br />General Contractor - Tri -Son Construction and Briar Construction. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />
