2 <br />The George M. Hansen Company sent a letter informing the Council that due to a <br />delay in receiving information from Ramsey County the 1971 audit report would <br />be late. <br />Clerk Zylla also stated that a letter was received from Herb Meyer, State Building <br />Inspector, requesting notification of appointment of building officials. <br />MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To notify the State that Walter Skiba was appointed <br />building official on May 27, 1971 and will continue to be employed through <br />July 1, 1972 and to authorize the Clerk to sign the notification. <br />MSP (Johnson /Baumgartner) To enter into a joint purchasing agreement with the <br />State of Minnesota and to adopt Resolution #565 authorizing the Mayor to enter <br />into the joint purchasing agreement on behalf of the Village. <br />MSP (Johnson /Hodges) To request Ramsey County to ask the State of Minnesota to <br />zone Red Oak Drive from Highway #10 to County Road J for speed and to post the <br />street with the authorized speed limit. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Johnson /Pickar) To authorize double time to B & E Patrol for April. 5 Ayes <br />Clerk - Administrator Zylla informed the Council that due to two men being out with <br />back injuries in the police department and one man in school, Police Chief <br />Grabowski was unable to fill his work schedule last weekend for two shifts unless <br />an off duty officer came in to fill in. He stated that he spoke with Mayor <br />Neisen about the problem and the Mayor agreed to authorize straight time pay for <br />the individuals that filled the vacant shifts in this situation. <br />MSP (Neisen /Johnson) To send a letter commending the 1971 -72 Mounds View Mustangs <br />basketball team for their fine performance this past year. 4 Ayes <br />Baumgartner Naye <br />(Councilman Baumgartner explained that he was from Austin.) <br />Councilman Johnson's Report <br />MSP (Johnson /Baumgartner) To authorize the expenditure of Village funds to send <br />Arthur Holm to the Advanced Water Works Operators school on April 12, 13 and 14 at <br />the Pick Nicollet Hotel and to have him take the examination for the next rating <br />up from his current rating. <br />Councilman Baumgartner's Report <br />Councilman Baumgartner stated that there was a Recreation Committee meeting last <br />Thursday and that there will be a special meeting on March 30th with a representative <br />from the Ramsey County Park Department present to discuss the Ramsey County Open <br />Space Plan. <br />Councilman Baumgartner read ''.the Planning Commission minutes of March 21st. <br />MSP (Johnson /Pickar) To set a hearing for 8:30 P.M. on March 24th to consider <br />rezoning from R1 to R2 the following described property: Eigenheer 3rd Addition <br />Lot 2 and the South portion of Lot 1 lying South of the Water easement as per <br />plat filed in and on record in Ramsey County. <br />MSP (Pickar /Hodges) To approve the five lot preliminary plat for Victor Loeffler <br />for Lots 9 and 10, Spring Lake Park Hillview Addition, subject to the payment of <br />any additional assessments. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />
