Zylla read the legal notice and attested to its publication in the New Brighton <br />Bulletin on May 11th and 18th, 1972. There would be three townhouse <br />buildings set to the West of long Lake Road and South of County Road H2 <br />approximately 300 ft West of Long Lake Road. The area between these structures <br />and Long Lake Road would be either dredged for a small lake or graded for <br />use as a tennis court and a swimming pool. An additional parcel of property to <br />the South and West of his townhouse units would be used to construct 92 single <br />family homes after street improvements were constructed. <br />He stated that he does not have any final plans or grading plans for the <br />proposal at this stage due to the added expense that would be necessary, since <br />the Council has not acted favorably upon his proposal at this time. However, <br />he stated he would have more detailed plans if the Council indicated approval <br />of his project, <br />i <br />Mayor Neisen called for questions from the floor - <br />Mrs. Sickler, 5250 Long Lake Road inquired as to who was to perform the <br />maintenance on the townhouses. Mr. Harstad answered that an association would <br />be formed and that they would assume the responsibility, <br />Mr. Perkins, 2559 Woodale wanted to know whether they would be rented or sold <br />outright. Mr. Harstad replied that they would be sold in the lower $30,000.00 <br />bracket for each unit. <br />Mr. Perkins also wanted to know why he received notice of the March 5th hearing <br />on the townhouse proposal, but did not receive any notice of this hearing. He was <br />there to "bitch about it ". He was opposed to the added traffic it would cause <br />and had moved out of Minneapolis and sp8nt $34,000.00 for his home and did not <br />want his neighborhood changed. Clerk Zylla explained that several people did not <br />receive notice of the 2nd hearing because the 2nd proposal was changed and certain <br />people which were in the 250 foot radius for the 1st hearing were no longer in the <br />
