2 <br />MSP (Hodges - Neisen) To approve the issuance of a transient merchants license to <br />9,nnis Mayeron, doing business as Polar Bear Ice Cream Company for a 6 month period <br />ginning June 26, 1972. <br />John Krawczyk, 5128 Eastwood inquired as to whether there were any regulations <br />governing fences around swimming pools. Clerk Zylla was instructed to investigate <br />the matter and report to the Council at the following meeting. <br />3 Ayes <br />John Solum, 2231 Bronson Drive, requested information on who the property owner was <br />for the low area behind his house. He was informed that Mrs. Betty Wall was contacted <br />and informed the property was tax forfeited land and the Village would be willing to <br />cooperate with neighborhood residents to see the area preserved and cleaned up if <br />there was enough neighborhood interest. <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To approve licenses on the agenda with the exception of an <br />asphalt license for K & K Paving. Clerk Zylla informed the Council that Inspector <br />Walter Skiba was dissatisfied with the quality of their work and recommended they <br />not be allowed to perform any further work in the Village. (Refer to the Agenda <br />for the list of companies being licensed.) <br />MSP (Hodges - Neisen) To approve the following bills: General checks No. 6198 <br />consecutive through 6218. Improvement Bond check #614. Payroll check No.'s 2769 <br />through 2798. Total disbursement $23,789.17. <br />7ouncilman Hodges' Report <br />4SP (Hodges - Baumgartner) To approve the use of Wayside Park and to authorize a <br />Beer License to the Mounds View Lions Club on July 9, 1972, subject to receipt of a <br />letter from the Minnesota Ballroom Operators Association stating they have no <br />objections to the permit. <br />Councilman Baumgartner's Report <br />Councilman Baumgartner read portions of the Recreation Committee's meeting minutes of <br />June 14, 1972. The main discussion centered on the Open Space Analysis prepared <br />by Comstock & Davis. <br />Councilman Baumgartner thanked Mr. Joe Bruno of the Lake Region Hockey Association <br />and other individuals that contributed their labor on June 17, 1972 in replacing <br />hockey boards at Hillview Park. <br />3 Ayes <br />3 Ayes <br />3 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen - Baumgartner) To receive the Open Space Analysis prepared and presented <br />by Comstock & Davis. 3 Ayes <br />Mayor Neisen directed Clerk Zylla to send a copy of the Analysis to Mr. Simons of <br />the Ramsey County Open Space Department requesting their review and comments. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />Attorney Meyers commenting on legislative redistricting, stated that the Village has <br />days prior to the September Primary Election to change its precinct boundaries. <br />he Council briefly discussed alternatives available and directed Clerk Zylla to <br />
