Falck. <br />Counters; Cathy Westling, Vivian Hjelm, Ralph Hanggi, Donna Fearing. 4 Ayes <br />!lerk Zylla read a portion of a letter from the Pollution Control Agency asking that <br />no construction be allowed on the Century Motor Freight facility until adequate <br />measures are planned for the protection of the watershed area. A copy of a letter mailed <br />to Mr. FrankJ.Bonello of Century Motor Freight was also received, which stated that no <br />construction may be started on their facility until the Pollution Control Agency grants <br />to Century Motor Freight a waste disposal permit, <br />Councilman Hodges' Report <br />Councilman Hodges gave a report on the activities of the Recreation Committee which <br />included obtaining estimates to move the Ron Hedin garage to Greenfield Park to be <br />used as a warming house. The Committee also investigated the feasibility of constructing <br />a skating rink at Edgewood School. The Committee is presently creating an ordinance <br />which outlines the membership and the activities of the Recreation Committee. <br />Councilman Hodges stated that the Recreation Committee has tentatively agreed on an <br />October 3, 1972 date for submission to the voters of another park bond issue. The <br />Council voiced preliminary approval of the bond issue, but decided to wait to set the <br />election date until the exact amount can be determined. <br />Councilman Hodges read a letter from Mike MacNamara, Director of Mounds View Athletic <br />Association commending the public works crew and Councilman Baumgartner and himself for <br />the fine cooperation that his association has received during the year in maintaining <br />the Village ball fields in such excellent condition. <br />
