PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />October 24, 1972 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Neisen at 8 :00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 24, 1972 at the Village Hall, 2401 Highway <br />#10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Neisen <br />Councilman Baumgartner <br />Councilman Pickar <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk - Administrator Zylla <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Boehm <br />Councilman Hodges <br />MSP (Baumgartner - Johnson) To approve the minutes of October 10, 1972. 4 Ayes <br />Residents Requests and Comments from the Floor: <br />Mr. Vincent Dahle, Attorney, representing Abiding Savior Lutheran Church requested <br />vacation of highway right -of -way (proposed Sunnyside) v$hich was omitted in the vacation <br />hearing of June 22, 1970. <br />'(SP (Neisen - Pickar) To set a hearing to consider the vacation of a portion of proposed <br />annyside for the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church for November 13, 1972 at 8:30 P.M. with <br />he Village retaining all utility easements therein. <br />The building permit for the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church was discussed and it was <br />decided that any discussion of fee waiver would be delayed until formal application for <br />their building permit was made. <br />4 Ayes <br />Mayor Neisen's Report <br />Mayor Neisen declared that PERA granted John Kardell a line of duty disability on October <br />19, 1972. Mr. Kardell has requested a delay on Council action to consider his termination <br />until he visits his doctor on Thursday. <br />MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To turn John Kardell's case over to the Police Commission for a <br />determination as to his fitness for work if Mr. Kardell does not submit a letter of <br />resignation by November 1, 1972. <br />4 Ayes <br />Clerk - Administrator Zylla's Report <br />MSP (Johnson - Baumgartner) To approve the following licenses and to waive the fee for the <br />Boy Scout Troop 714: Asphalt - Darrell's Exc. & Blacktopping; General Contractor - Stuart <br />Construction Co., Berg Builders; Heating - Mill City Heating & A.C. Co.; Residential <br />Kennel - David & Connie Bissonnette; Transient Merchant - David C. Carlson, and Boy <br />'cout Troop #714. 4 Ayes <br />
