Page 3 <br />MSP (Baumgartner- Hodges) To authorize payment of all reasonable expenses to Mayor Neisen <br />r -M the dinner discussion "What's Right About Property Taxes" on January 25th, 1973. 4 Ayes <br />.cilman Baimgartner's Report <br />Councilman Baumgartner read the Recreation Commission minutes of December 28, 1972 and <br />the Planning Commission minutes of December 27, 1972, <br />MSP (Hodges - Pickar) To issue a building permit to Construction 70, Inc. to construct a <br />car wash addition to the Long Lake "66" service station, subject to approval of the Village <br />inspector and the fire chief. 4 Ayes <br />Clerk Zylla informed Construction 70's representative that additional REC charges will be <br />due after they have been determined. <br />Councilman Pickar's Report <br />Councilman Pickar reported on the Lakeside Park Commission meeting held January 3rd. He <br />stated that there was a cash balance on December 31st of $1,029.99 plus a $2,500.00 <br />certificate of deposit, which will be used to resurface the parking lot in 1973. He informed <br />the Council that Spring Lake Park cut the Lakeside Park Commission budget to $8,000.00 per <br />year, therfore Mounds View must also cut their allocation by a like amount. The Commission <br />also is awaiting sand seeding approval from the State. <br />Councilman Pickar announced that one vacancy exists on the Lakeside Park Commission for <br />' -)unds View resident. <br />_Jrney Meyers' Report <br />Attorney Meyers stated that he has in his possession the covenant signed by Mr. Harstad, <br />requested at the last Council meeting. <br />MSP (Baumgartner- Hodges) To assent to the order authorizing PBK Investment Company to <br />vacate Langan Park, register the property, vacate all easements, and file their new plat <br />(Mounds View Industrial Park) and authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to sign it. 4 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen - Baumgartner) To set a hearing for vacating Langan Park Addition for PBK <br />4 Ayes <br />Investment Company for January 22nd at 8:30 P.M. <br />Attorney Meyers informed the Council that several meetings have taken place between him, <br />Century Motor Freight, and the First National Bank of Minneapolis, trustee. No agreement <br />has been reached as yet. <br />Engineer Boehm's Report <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To authorize the Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for <br />repainting Water Tower No 1 - Project 1973 -1. 4 Ayes <br />MQU ( Pickar- Hodges) To authorize the Engineer to prepare the assessment roles for Project <br />' -'. -3 Schedule A and B. 4 Ayes <br />
