PROCEEDINGS OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />VILLAGE OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />February 26, 1973 <br />A Regular Meeting of the Mounds View Village Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Neisen at 8 :00 P.M., on February 26, 1973, at the Mounds View Village Hall, 2401 <br />Highway #10, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Neisen <br />Councilman Baumgartner <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Pickar <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylia <br />Attorney Schumacher <br />Engineer Boehm <br />MSP (Pickar- Hodges) To approve the minutes of February 12, 1973. <br />5 Ayes <br />Resident Requests and Comments from the Floor: <br />George Johnson, real estate broker, requested information on the possibility of having <br />Knollwood Drive north of Ardan Avenue extended to County Road J. Engineer Boehm <br />explained that in December of 1968 a petition for extending Knollwood was received <br />and a hearing was held on February 24, 1969. At that hearing the Council voted <br />tnimously against extending Knollwood Drive due to resident opposition. The 1968 <br />t for water, sewer, street and drainage was estimated at $152,498.00. <br />Engineer Boehm stated that it was possible to provide limited drainage on Knollwood Drive <br />without major storm sewer construction. The Council directed Mr. Johnson to present <br />a valid petition requesting the extension of Knollwood. <br />Mayor Neisen's Report: <br />Mayor Neisen stated that the Police have talked with the State Highway Department <br />and found that it is not illegal to make a U -turn from the center line median on <br />Highway 10 at Groveland Road, but they will investigate to see if by so doing <br />a dangerous situation exists. <br />Mayor Neisen announced that there will be a Ramsey County Legislative Meeting on <br />February 28 in Roseville. <br />Clerk Zylla's Report: <br />MSP (Hodges- Baumgartner) To approve the licenses: Excavating - Frattalone Excavating; <br />General Contractor - North Star Plbg. & Htg., Inc.; ShaDawn Fence Co., Worthington <br />Soft Water Co. <br />MSP (Pickar - Johnson) To deny the request for a Transient Merchant License to William <br />ul, 1923 Washburn No., Mpls. to sell boxed candy due to the unfavorable report <br />eived from the Police Department. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />
