Fund Check #7061 through 7095 <br />Payroll Account Checks #133 - 169, and Check #7094 transferring the amount of <br />,155.13 to Payroll Account to pay gross pay of February 26, 1973. $8,453.26 <br />'r i General Fund, $949.50 from Water Utility and $752.37 from Sewer Utility. <br />_al disbursements excluding transfer Check #7094, $24,676.87. <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To approve the payment of $621.40 as Mounds View's contri- <br />bution to funding the salary of Rick Rosow, drug counselor employed by School <br />District #621, through June 30, 1973 but to authorize that a letter be sent to <br />Mr. Conover of District #621 informing him that the full cost of Mr. Rosow's <br />services should be paid by the School District after June 30. <br />5 Ayes <br />Clerk Zylla stated that at the request of the Council on the 14th of February, <br />a letter was sent to the owners of the Launching Pad and Donatelle's informing <br />them of the ordinance requirement that a buffer zone be provided between their <br />parking area and County Rd. H2 and requesting information as to whether they <br />intended to comply with the ordinance. A reply was requested by March 1, To <br />date, one response has been received from Mr. Giancloa, attorney for Anthony <br />Donatelle informing us that Mr. Donatelle was out of town and the letter has not <br />been brought to his attention as yet. <br />Clerk Zylla stated that in the matter of the Village of New Brighton verses the <br />Metropolitan Council regarding New Brighton's request to have their interceptor <br />acquired, last Friday he received a letter from the City of Fridley which stated <br />that the City of Fridley did not desire to get financially involved in this liti- <br />tion. <br />rk Zylla announced that the physical examination report on William Hanson, newly <br />_gyred maintenance employee was received and he was listed as satisfactory for <br />employment. <br />Clerk Zylla declared that copies of the 1972 financial statement for the Spring <br />Lake Park Fire Department have been received and distributed to each of the <br />councilmen and Chief Fagerstrom will attend the March 5 agenda meeting to <br />discuss the statement with the Council. <br />Councilman Johnson's Report: <br />Councilman Johnson stressed the importance of attending the February 28 legis- <br />lative meeting. <br />Noting that there have been several sewer problems on Silver Lake Road near <br />Woodcrest Drive, Councilman Johnson inquired of Mr. Boehm whether he felt there <br />was any solution to the problem. Engineer Boehm stated that when the sewer was <br />put in the Council realized that it would be a built in maintenance problem, for <br />to properly construct the main would have required 68 feet of piling due to the <br />soil condition. Mr. Boehm suggested that the Village set up a periodic flushing <br />schedule. <br />Councilman Johnson asked the Police to investigate a car parked at Woodcrest and <br />Long Lake Road which appears abandoned. <br />c icilman Baumgartner's Report: <br />iuncilman Baumgartner read the Recreation Commission minutes of February 22 noting <br />that the Commission has approved the purchase of $4,000. of playground equipment. <br />
