-3- <br />on Friday with a millwright and that further investigation is necessary. <br />In response to a question by Councilman Johnson, Clerk Zylla informed the <br />Council that a food handlers license is necessary for the individual selling <br />produce at County Road I and Highway #10. The Agriculture Department was <br />notified and said they would insure that he obtained his license. <br />Councilman Johnson reminded the public and the press that there was a revenue <br />sharing hearing scheduled for June 11th. <br />Mayor Neisen noted that he has had a water problem in his neighborhood and <br />asked the Clerk to send one of the maintenance department men to the area to <br />flush some hydrants. <br />Councilman Baumgartner's Report <br />Councilman Baumgartner read the Recreation Commission minutes of May 24. <br />MSP (Baumgartner - Pickar) To direct the engineer to come up with a quote to <br />provide grading plans for all the parks with the exception of the Civic Center, <br />by June 11th. 5 Ayes <br />Councilman Baumgartner informed the Council that he is obtaining a grading <br />plan for Groveland Park for an estimated cost of $1,000.00. <br />Councilman Baumgartner said that there will be a special park meeting May 31st <br />to discuss the proposed acquisition of the area along Silver Lake Road southwest <br />of the intersection of County Road I and Silver Lake Road for a proposed park. <br />He noted that the next Recreation Commission meeting would be June 28th. <br />MSP (Baumgartner- Hodges) To hire Ernest Erickson on a part -time basis not to <br />exceed 120 working days at a rate of $2.50 per hour authorizing the superin- <br />tendent to send him home in inclement weather when he cannot be put to work. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Hodges - Pickar) To approve the issuance of a building permit to the <br />American Oil Company to add a car wash and two bays to the service station <br />located at 2155 Highway Avenue. 5 Ayes <br />Councilman Pickar's Report <br />Councilman Pickar said that he had no Lakeside Park Commission report, and the <br />Human Rights Commission was meeting this evening, <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />MSP (Neisen- Johnson) To have the Village permit the sale to and possession by <br />persons 18 years old and older of intoxicating and non - intoxicating liquor. 5 Ayes <br />He noted that our present ordinance contained contradictory language in that <br />in one section "liquor can be sold to anyone not a minor ", and in another <br />
