Councilman Pickar declared that he would like to see more money <br />spent to develop Lakeside Park. <br />Mrs. Nancy Burmeister, 7565 ICnollwood Drive, lent support for a revised compre- <br />hensive plan. She also suggested keeping a planner on a retainer basis at least <br />in the short term. <br />Mr. Thomas Doherty, 2109 Laport, felt that the money ought to be used on things <br />cut back by the Federal Government. <br />Mrs. Wille, 7911 Spring Lake Road, also backed spending money for an updated <br />comprehensive plan. <br />Robert Glazer, 2375 Hillview, said that magnesium was building up in the water <br />supply and distribution system. He felt that the system may need more than <br />just softening. <br />Mr. Doherty suggested adding a community activity center to the list of priorities. <br />Mayor Neisen said that the purpose of the meeting was to keep residents informed <br />of the use of revenue sharing and to allow them to suggest possible alternatives. <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To allocate the following in conformance with the planned <br />use report for the entitlement period ending June 30, 1973: <br />1) Semaphore at County Road I and Quincy <br />2) Grading plans at Groveland, Greenfield, and <br />Woodcrest parks <br />3) Salary for full time man hired but unbudgeted <br />for park maintenance <br />4) Storage building <br />$4,000 <br />$3,600 <br />$5,500 <br />$8,539 <br />MSP (Baumgartner - Pickar) To adjourn the special hearing at 9:12 P.M. 5 Ayes <br />Mayor Neisen reported on the County Board Meeting he attended on June 4th. He <br />requested that the County and the Village pick up 50% of the stop light cost at <br />Quincy and County Road I after application of the money earned by the "Operation <br />Stoplight" program sponsored by a private group. The County concurred with Mayor <br />Neisen's request. <br />MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To authorize Mounds View to enter into a 50 percent parti- <br />cipation with the County to provide for the installation cost of a temporary <br />semaphore at Quincy and County Road I after applying $1,465.43 (approximately) to <br />the total cost. 5 Ayes <br />Clerk- Zylla's Report Continued <br />MSP (Neisen- Johnson) To adopt Resolution #603 apportioning the assessments on <br />Division #46426 for Red Oak Estates #2, 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To adopt Resolution #604 abating $5,789.78 on Division #46426 <br />Red Oak Estates #2. 5 Ayes <br />
