-5- <br />Councilman Hodges noted that the Mounds View Lions Club has <br />volunteered to pay for the installation of the cement base <br />of drinking fountains in parks that presently have fountains. <br />Councilman Baumgartner's Report <br />Councilman Baumgartner reported that there was a special <br />Recreation Committee meeting on June 14 with another meeting <br />scheduled for June 28 at which time discussion will center <br />on hiring a full -time recreation director as soon as possible. <br />Councilman Baumgartner noted that the Planning Commission meeting <br />is this Wednesday. <br />Attorney Meyers' Report <br />Attorney Meyers reported that he has discussed the relocation of the <br />easement for the drainage ditch on the northwest corner of Long Lake <br />Road and County Road H2 with the attorney for Willmus Properties. <br />The Willmus attorney has suggested that the easement be narrowed <br />when conduit is installed in the ditch. The Engineer is to deter- <br />mine the amount of permanent easement that would be necessary and <br />Attorney Meyers is to inform Mr. Willmus' attorney that a pedestrian <br />easement is wanted in addition to the storm sewer easement. <br />Attorney Meyers referred certain legal descriptions for right of <br />way in the vicinity of Gulf Oil Station, 2155 Highway Avenue to <br />the Engineer to determine the exact location of the easements. <br />The matter of the easement relocation for the Gulf Oil Station <br />dated back to 1967. <br />Attorney Meyers noted that Mounds View will become part of the <br />Ramsey County Court system, effective January 1975.
