-2- <br />Mayor Neisen read a letter of resignation from Ralph Hanggi, Jr. <br />MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To accept the resignation of Ralph Hanggi Jr. as building <br />custodian effective July 16th and to hire Richard Madsen effective that same <br />date at a monthly salary of $60.00 per month. 5 Ayes <br />Mayor Neisen reported that Thompson Plumbing has dug up 7760 Greenwood Drive <br />twice in hooking up the sewer service. The first time they dug it was wet <br />and they did not know how to dry it up so they covered it up and left. The <br />second time they dug it up it was wet around the pipe and Jim Schlichtmann <br />refused to give a satisfactory inspection until he could see the connection. <br />They covered the pipe and left. They have been told to come back and allow us <br />to see the connection since June 22nd and we have met little response - only <br />promises. <br />MSP (Neisen- Johnson) To hold a hearing to revoke Thompson Plumbing's Sewer <br />and Water License in accordance with 60.02, Subdivision 8 of the Municipal <br />Code for August 6, 1973 at 7:30 P.M. <br />The office was directed to send a notice of the hearing to Thompson Plumbing, <br />Mayor Neisen reported that Keith Harstad was in last Monday evening and he <br />will take care of the drainage problem south of County Road H2 between Red Oak <br />Drive and Sunnyside Road this fall. <br />Mayor Neisen reported that the boy scouts did not want the white garage and <br />Clerk Zylla was granted the authority to have someone else take it. Mayor <br />Neisen presented his bill for attending the League meeting at Alexandria and <br />returned a refund check for $27.75. <br />Deputy Clerk Sandgren's Report <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Hodges- Johnson) To approve the licenses: Asphalt - Carl B. Anderson <br />Blacktopping; Excavating - Beyer's Excavating, Bollig & Sons, Inc., Schulze <br />Excavating & Grading; General Contractor - Balsiger Contracting Co., Culligan <br />Water Conditioning, Rite -Way Engineering Co., American Burner Service, Inc.; <br />Heating - St. Marie Sheet Metal Inc., Clarence E. Nelson Heating & A.C., <br />Standard Heating & A.C., Neil & Hubbard Heating & A.C., The Kimball Company, <br />Inc.; Sewer & Water - Waalen and Sabby, Inc. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Pickar- Hodges) To approve the bills: General Fund checks #7449 thru #7492. <br />Payroll Account checks #1029 thru #1031. Bond Account checks #103 and #104. <br />Payroll checks #389 thru #413. Total disbursements : $140,809.43. Also transfer <br />check #7493 transferring $9,700.03 to the Payroll Account to pay gross pay of <br />July 15th, 1973. From General $7,548.28, from water $1,368.92, from sewer <br />$782.83. 5 Ayes <br />Councilman Hodges Report <br />Councilman Hodges inquired of Councilman Pickar whether he had been contacted <br />by the people whose car was hit by the globe which fell from the light at <br />Spring Lake. He had been contacted. <br />Mayor Neisen noted that a neighbor to Councilman Hodges had called that a pants <br />suit had been ruined due to the bad color of the water.
