Engineer Bearden reported that Clerk Zylla <br />was to meet with the Health Department first. No one was aware that he had <br />done this as yet. <br />MSP (Neisen- Johnson) To direct Engineer Bearden to check by any means possible <br />to find out the cause of the bad water situation. 5 Ayes <br />It was stated that most of the calls were coming from south of Highway #10 <br />or the Twelve Oaks area. <br />Councilman Johnson's Report <br />Councilman Johnson reported that there will be a Labor Relations Workshop <br />on August 3, 1973 sponsored by the Association of Minnesota Counties, League <br />of Minnesota Municipalities, Metropolitan Inter - County Council and the <br />Metropolitan League of Municipalities. An analysis of the impact of Minnesota's <br />amended Public Employment Labor Relations Act will cover the following topics: <br />the right to strike for nonessential employee groups, binding arbitration of <br />contract negotiation impasses involving essential employees, rules and <br />procedures of the Public Employment Relations Board, rules and procedures of <br />the Bureau of Mediation Services and the role of elected officials. <br />MSP (Neisen - Hodges) To send the registration fee of $12.00 for Councilman <br />Johnson to attend the Labor Relations Workshop at the Radisson South on <br />August 3, 19 73 . <br />Councilman Baumgartner's Report <br />Councilman Baumgartner read the Park & Recreation Meeting report. He stated <br />that they would wait to make a motion to hire a full time park director until <br />there had been more discussion on the matter, as to where the money would come <br />from to pay him. <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Baumgartner - Pickar) To request Clerk Zylla to obtain estimates from three <br />other planning consultants for a revised comprehensive plan. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Johnson- Hodges) To recess the regular meeting at 8:30 P.M. 5 Ayes <br />Mayor Neisen called the Drainage Information Hearing to order at 8:30 P.M. <br />Deputy Clerk Sandgren read the letter sent on June 27, 1973 informing residents <br />in the drainage ditch area of the hearing. <br />Mayor Neisen turned the meeting over to Engineer Bearden who presented a map <br />and explained the drainage situation at the Greenwood Drive and Sherwood Road <br />area. <br />Delores Fehlderg, representing her mother, Nellie Dormeier who lives at 8171 <br />Eastwood Road inquired why the two obvious lots were omitted in the shaded area, <br />who were the people affected, and when were the houses built. Engineer Bearden <br />explained that this was an old drainage map from 1964 which showed the drainage <br />boundary. The two lots omitted had been split and only the back half was where <br />the problem was. The ditch which runs, along Greenwood Drive was made in 1964 <br />
