An establishment may sell non -
intoxicating off -sale liquor in an on -sale liquor establishment until 1:00 A.M.
MSP (Neisen - Baumgarner) To authorize the attorney to amend the municipal code to
forbid the issuance of an off -sale non - intoxicating liquor license in any on -sale
intoxicating liquor establishment effective January 1, 1975. 3 Ayes
Baumgartner Naye
Councilman Baumgartner felt that the present licensed establishments should have
no more than three months to comply with the new law.
Mayor Neisen's Report
MSP (Neisen- Pickar) To set the termination date for the employment of James
Schlichtmann, Public Works Superintendent, for December 31st, at 4:30 P.M. 4 Ayes
Mayor Neisen explained that Mr. Schlichtmann had resigned and then later requested
to be retained as a lead man. The Council felt that since not enough money was
budgeted, since it would be difficult for the new superintendent to supervise an
x- superintendent, that a low seniority man may have to be laid off if he is retained,
and it would be unfair to the men to grant seniority to him, that he be terminated
before the Village would have to pay unemployment compensation. (January 1, 1974).
Clerk- Administrator Zylla's Report
MSP (Hodges - Pickar) To approve the licenses: Cigarette - Long Lake "66 ", Country
Kitchen, Martin Oil Service, Dick's Clark Super "100 ", Highway #10 Service;
Gasoline Station - Dick's Clark Super "100 ", Long Lake "66 ", Martin Oil Services;
Off -Sale Non - Intox.
