architect for Paster Enterprises, and it appeared that they would be attending <br />the next regular Council meeting to request a reissuance of their building <br />permit for the shopping center planned at Highway #10 and Long Lake Road. <br />Councilman Johnson's Report <br />Councilman Johnson inquired whether or not information was being furnished to <br />the Metropolitan Council for their publication Data -log. He was concerned <br />because Mounds View was not mentioned in their most recent publication. The <br />Administrator informed the Council that he does provide the Metro Council <br />with the information they request for their publication. <br />Councilman Baumgartner's Report <br />Councilman Baumgartner announced that the Recreation Commission would be <br />meeting on the 28th of February and the Planning Commission on the 27th of <br />February. He was informed that Doug Bryant was seeking information for the <br />Council on House File 1525 and the Save Open Space Committee. <br />Councilman Pickar's Report <br />Councilman Pickar noted that the Lakeside Park Commission meeting scheduled <br />for last week was postponed. <br />Engineer Bearden's Report <br />Engineer Bearden informed the Council that the State of Minnesota has told <br />him that Highway Avenue is owned by the State and is not a municipal street. <br />MSP (Johnson - Pickar) To adjourn at 8:24 P.M. 5 Ayes <br />Mayor Neisen called the Regular meeting back to order at 8:58 P.M. to consider <br />the issuance of a special use permit to construct a motor freight terminal in <br />the Mounds View Industrial Park. The hearing was continued from February llth. <br />Reuben Johnson, architect for Buetow and Associates, made the presentation on <br />behalf of Smith's Transfer Corporation. He noted that he had met on two <br />occasions with the City staff to discuss the proposal. He felt that there <br />was a problem with the initial site plan of February llth because of an <br />interpretation of "front yard ". <br />The site plan that he presented included a 40 foot setback as required by <br />ordinance. The setback to consist of a completely landscaped area with grass <br />and trees and a berm. The architect is proposing no cross traffic in the <br />front of the building. <br />The area to the rear of the lot which adjoins Towns Edge Terrace Mobile Home <br />
