-2- <br />The representatives of Smith Transfer Corporation requested to be recognized <br />through Mr. Ruben Johnson, project architect. Attorney Meyers read the special <br />use permit agreement that he had prepared. <br />MSP (Johnson - Pickar) To approve the special use permit subject to the condition <br />that oil traps be installed in conformance with the request of the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District, and that a dense planting of evergreens be provided on the <br />rear of the property adjacent to the mobile home park; and to authorize the <br />Mayor and Clerk to sign the agreement after it is executed by Smith Transfer. <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To appoint Wallace Mortenson as assistant weed inspector <br />for 1974. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />Mayor Neisen read the police report for February. <br />Mayor Neisen commended the fire department for their quick response to a fire at <br />the old North Suburban Sanitary Sewer lift station located at County Road H and <br />Edgewood Drive. <br />Edward Paster, of Paster Enterprises appeared before the Council to request the <br />re- issuance of his building permit for the shopping center development on the <br />north side of Highway #10 between Long Lake Road and County Road I. The permit <br />for the development was issued on September 10, 1974, subject to the condition <br />that construction commence within 45 days. Mr. Paster noted that the only changes <br />that have occurred since the permit was issued in September are no McDonalds or <br />fast food restaurant is planned for the SE corner of the property; instead a <br />Bridgeman's Restaurant is planned. Therefore the size of the building on that <br />site has been increased from 2,475 square feet to 4,325 square feet and nine <br />parking spaces have been eliminated. Second, the loading dock area on the east <br />of the building has been reduced from three areas to one and made more attractive. <br />MSP (Neisen - Baumgartner) To issue a building permit to Paster Enterprises to <br />construct a shopping center development to include in a separate building a <br />Bridgemans Restaurant subject to the approval of plans by the building inspector <br />and the fire chief, construction in conformance with the approved Rice Creek <br />Watershed District drainage plan, and subject to application and payment of the <br />building permit fee. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen - Hodges) To readvertise for bids for Water Improvement Project 1973 -5 <br />and to set a bid opening for April 8th, at 11:30 A.M. 5 Ayes <br />Administrator Zylla's Report <br />MSP (Hodges - Pickar) To approve the licenses: General Contractor - Able Fence Co., <br />Bloomington Aluminum, Bob Carlson Homes, Inc.; Sewer & Water - Backdahl & Olson <br />Plbg.
