I <br />Council authorized the administrator to send a letter to the various civic <br />groups and Mounds View Commissions inviting them to participate in the formulation <br />of goals and policies in the comprehensive plan being prepared by Midwest Planning. <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To authorize the attendance of the civil defense director at <br />a conference on natural disasters scheduled for March 21, 1974 and to authorize <br />the payment of the $10.00 registration fee. <br />MSP (Neisen- Johnson) Receiving the letter from Mr. Edes of Programmed Land <br />relative to the extension of a future water main north from the existing main <br />in Programmed Land 1st Addition to Pinecrest Addition, and providing that they <br />accept the appropriate assessment when it is constructed. <br />Mayor Neisen announced that the Mounds View Clean -up Day is tentatively scheduled <br />for April 27th. <br />Councilman Hodges' Report <br />Councilman Hodges notified the Council that a civil defense warning plan which <br />is a part of the Mounds View emergency plan has been completed and signed by the <br />director. <br />Councilman Hodges declared that there has been a report of siren failure at <br />County Road I south of Spring Lake. <br />Councilman Johnson's Report <br />Councilman Johnson inquired as to the supply and cost of gasoline for the City. <br />He was told that the present supplier anticipates no problem with continued <br />supply and that the cost for gasoline was approximately 31 cents per gallon. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />Councilman Baumgartner's Report <br />Councilman Baumgartner read the Planning Commission minutes of February 27th. <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To accept the Recreation Commission's recommendation and <br />to request a cash dedication in the Mounds View Industrial Park prior to the <br />approval of the subdivision request of Smith Transfer Corporation, and to refer <br />the matter to the attorney that he may obtain the necessary property appraisal. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen - Baumgartner) To set a hearing for Blanche Abbott to consider a <br />rezoning of except the east 166 feet of Lot 9 Auditor's Subdivision #89 from <br />B3 Commercial to R1 Single Family for March 25th, at 8:40 P.M. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Pickar- Hodges) To grant the subdivision request of Reuben Achterkirch to <br />subdivide Lots 13 and 15 Knollwood Park Addition into the south 150 feet and <br />except the south 150 feet thereof, subject to the condition that the north 250 feet <br />of each parcel be attached to the property presently zoned R -3, multiple, and <br />recognizing the fact and sense of the Planning Commission that the property is <br />zoned R -1 and that the zoning be maintained as such. 5 Ayes <br />
