PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A Regular Meeting of the Mounds View City Council was called to order by Mayor Neisen <br />at 8:02 P.M. on June 10, 1974, at the Mounds View City Hall, 2401 Highway #10, Mounds <br />View, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Neisen <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Baumgartner <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Councilman Pickar <br />Also Present: <br />Clerk- Administrator Zylla <br />Attorney Meyers <br />Engineer Bearden <br />MSP (Hodges - Baumgartner) To approve the minutes of May 28, 1974. 4 Ayes <br />Pickar Abstained <br />Residents Requests and Comments from the Floor <br />Several residents again appeared relative to the drainage problem south of County Road <br />H2 between Red Oak Drive and Sunnyside Road. <br />Attorney Meyers stated that in order to get a court order to grade the lots of persons <br />objecting to the work, the City would have to show cause and that the remedy is an <br />injunctive type. <br />Mayor Neisen stated that after the last meeting the residents informed the administrator <br />that they would make a temporary solution and allow Harstad to come in and grade this <br />Fall. Mr. Harstad has agreed in writing to do so. <br />Letters were ready to be sent requesting a waiver allowing Mr. Harstad to proceed onto <br />the property. A gentlemen from the neighborhood said that he would take the waivers <br />around personally and deliver them signed to the City. They then would want the work <br />done as soon as possible,not this Fall. <br />Mayor Neisen's Report <br />Mayor Neisen read the Police Report for May. <br />Mayor Neisen read a letter from the Metropolitan Council informing the City that <br />their population as of April 1, 1974 was calculated at 12,792 persons, an increase of <br />378 over the past year. <br />Mayor Neisen announced a meeting of Suburban Mayors and Civil Defense Directors for <br />June 11th to discuss on -site assistance projects. Councilman Hodges and Civil Defense <br />Director Smith will attend for the City. <br />In response to a request by Mr. Benedict, Mayor of Bloomington, Mayor Neisen proclaimed <br />June 21 to July 21, Victory Month in support of the Minnesota Twins. <br />
