Low Bidder <br />for mecanical work is C. O. Carlson Air Cond. Co. and low bidder for electrical <br />work if just upper level is constructed is Maurie St. Martin Electric at <br />$25,950.00; if upper level and lower level is constructed low bidder for <br />electrical is Lee Electric Co. at $35,095.00. <br />After some discussion with the architect of how high the bids came in compared <br />with his latest estimate of June 8, 1974 which was $197,009.00 without the <br />lower level and $263,789.00 with the lower level, it was decided to delay <br />awarding of the bids until further study can be made. <br />MSP (Neisen - Hodges) To table any decision on the awarding of the bids until <br />8:30 P.M. at the regular Council meeting of August 26, 1974. 5 Ayes <br />The Council requested Mr. Walijarvi to ask the two low bidders what the <br />difference in price would be if the lock up and the nine doors entering the <br />Council chambers were eliminated and to have the information back to the <br />Council by August 19th. <br />Mayor Neisen then brought to the attention of the Council that he and Councilman <br />Hodges had attended a' meeting with the Highway Department on the proposed <br />installation of semaphores at the intersections of Highway #10 and County Road <br />H2 and Highway #10 and County Road I. Mayor Neisen stated that the Highway <br />Department felt there could be some problems with Mounds View streets that <br />now exit closely to where the semaphores will be installed. Namely, St. Stephens <br />Street, Greenfield Avenue, and Eastwood Road. It was decided that a hearing <br />should be held to inform the residents residing on these streets of the problems <br />that may be encountered with the installation of the semaphores. <br />MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To hold a hearing at 8:40 P.M., August 26, 1974 to consider <br />the problems that may be involved with the installation of semaphores at the <br />intersections of Highway #10 and County Road H2 and Highway #10 and County Road <br />I, and directing the office to publish notice of the hearing in the legal <br />newspaper and to send letters to all residents residing in those areas. 5 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To approve a pay raise of $75.00 per month to Dorothy <br />Sandgren during the time that she retains the appointed position of Acting <br />Clerk- Treasurer. 5 Ayes <br />Mayor Neisen noted that at 3:55 P.M. August 5, 1974 he had received a summons <br />for the City of Mounds View at his place of work in regards to Red Oak Estates <br />#3. <br />
