PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />A Special Meeting of the Mounds View City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Neisen at 6:43 P.M. on September 3, 1974 at the Mounds View City Hall, <br />2401 Highway #10, Mounds View, Minnesota 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Neisen <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Baumgartner <br />Councilman Johnson <br />Councilman Pickar <br />Also Present: <br />Acting Clerk- Treas. Sandgren <br />Mayor Neisen explained that this meeting was called due to the mistake of <br />biding the electrical portion on the new municipal building addition and <br />alterations. <br />Two days after awarding the bid a call was received by Kenneth Walijarvi, <br />Architect from Tieso Electrical Contractors concerning the low bidder, <br />Lee Electric Company. Architect Walijarvi contacted Mayor Neisen and <br />after research it was found that Lee Electric Company was the low bidder. <br />Mayor Neisen read a letter received from Lee Electric Company which was <br />picked up by Police Chief Grabowski on August 29, 1974 which stated that <br />Lee Electric Company would extend their bid to September 24, 1974. <br />MSP (Neisen- Johnson) To cancel the bid of Maurie St. Martin Electric <br />$25,950 Base Bid, $12,015 Alt. # E -1 Lower Level, $3,808 Alt. # E -2 <br />Plaza Lighting, $160 Alt # E -3 Lock Up Light, for a total of $41,933 <br />and accept the bid from Lee Electric Company $27,600 Base Bid, $7,495 <br />Alt. # E -1, $5,300 Alt. # E -2, $0 Alt. # E -3 for a total of $40,395. <br />Councilman Johnson wanted it noted in the minutes that the wrong summary <br />of bidders was given by Architect Kenneth H.
