-3- <br />Mayor Neisen's Report <br />Mayor Neisen read a letter from Governor Anderson requesting that a <br />representative from the Council attend the Governor's Conference on <br />October 9, 1974. <br />Mayor Neisen designated Councilman Pickar to attend the afternoon sessions, <br />and Mayor Neisen will attend the evening sessions. <br />Mayor Neisen received Inspector Skiba's report regarding Construction Equip- <br />ment Service Company's request for a refund of a portion of their plumbing <br />permit. <br />Mayor Neisen requested information on how much of the plumbing project was <br />completed at the time this company was discharged and how much city employee <br />time was required because of the change in plumbers on the Scotland Green <br />project. <br />Councilman Johnson asked whether a refund would be made if the project had <br />not been 100% completed. Mayor Neisen said "No ". <br />Administrator Achen's Report <br />MSP(Hodges- Pickar) To approve the licenses. Gasoline Station - C. J. Peterson - <br />Kunz Oil Co.; Heating - American Burner Service; General Contractor - B & K <br />Builders. <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To amend the motion to require a Better Business Bureau <br />background check before issuance of the licenses. <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen - Baumgartner) To approve the bills: General Fund Checks #9058 thru <br />9127, Payroll Acct. Check #1118, Payroll Checks #1358 thru 1391; Transfer Check <br />#9129 transferring $13,055.89 to the Payroll Account to pay gross pay of <br />September 30, 1974 (from General - $10,527.38, from Water - $1,116.00, <br />from Sewer $1,412.51). <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen- Johnson) To approve Check #9130 for $400.00 for the administrator's <br />moving expenses to be included in the next regular meeting Bills for Approval. <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To designate the Mayor, Councilman Johnson, Councilman <br />Hodges, and Clerk - Administrator Achen as the officials authorized to sign City <br />checks. <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Hodges - Baumgartner) To request that Ramsey County provide snowplowing <br />and sanding service to the City of Mounds View subject to the receipt of the <br />applicable County rates. <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To hold a public hearing on the 1975 City Budget October <br />7th at 7:30 P.M. <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Johnson- Hodges) To hire Maridelle Wamhoff as a part -time employee at the <br />same hourly rate of pay she had been compensated as a full -time employee. <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To change the Regular Council Meetings on October to the <br />15th and the 29th. <br />5 Ayes <br />Councilman Baumgartner read the list of proposed part -time recreational staff <br />for the fall programs and their fees. He stated that these programs were self <br />supporting through the fees charged to participants. <br />
