-6- <br />Attorney Meyers reported that negotiations for the Fulwider property had also <br />been completed. <br />MSP (Neisen- Hodges) To authorize payment to Verlyn and Ardis I. Fulwider of <br />$19,900.00 for the purchase of the home and land for project 1973 -4. <br />Attorney Meyers recommended that the Hemsworth property also be acquired <br />for Project 1973 -4. <br />MSP (Neisen - Pickar) To authorize payment to Allan R. and Bernadine Hemsworth <br />and Twin City Federal Savings and Loan for $25,000.00 for purchase of this <br />property. <br />Councilman Johnson stated that transfer of monies would be necessary for these <br />payments and asked the Clerk to have the appropriate transfer ready for the <br />September 30, 1974 meeting. <br />Attorney Meyers presented proposed Ordinance #222, amending Chapter 41, to <br />rezone the Mounds View Square property. <br />MSP (Hodges - Johnson) To authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute this rezoning <br />Ordinance #222. <br />Attorney Meyers recommended passage of Ordinance #223 making intentional false <br />fire alarms a misdemeanor by adopting the Minnesota State statutes on this <br />subject be reference. <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />5 Ayes <br />MSP (Johnson - Pickar) To authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute Ordinance #223. <br />5 Ayes <br />Attorney Meyers presented the revised Junked and Abandoned Vehicle Ordinance. <br />The Council discussed the short time allowed under Subdivision 42B for residents <br />who might have been injured in an automobile accident and are hospitalized more <br />than 48 hours. The Attorney was directed to again revise this proposed ordinance <br />eliminating this subdivision and including the subdivision in the existing ordinance <br />that declares the absence of current State license plates prima facie evidence of <br />junked and abandoned car. <br />Engineer Bearden's Report <br />Engineer Bearden stated that specifications for the 1973 -4 project direct <br />contractors to remove the houses and outbuildings on both the Fulwider and <br />Hemsworth properties. <br />Councilman Baumgartner suggested that the Park and Public Works Departments <br />examine these buildings to see if the City might put them to use. <br />MSP (Baumgartner- Hodges) To adjourn at 10:53 P.M. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />me& Cite&i, <br />Ma Achen <br />Clerk - Administrator <br />5 Ayes <br />
