He also asked the administrator
to check with the architect regarding the status of bids on the sprinkler
system for the city hall addition.
Attorney Meyers' Report
Attorney Meyers stated that the contract with Whitesell Tree Service is
in order and that the only remaining requirement is a performance bond.
He suggested that the council consider sale of the Hemsworth and Fulwider
properties.
Mayor Neisen stated that he felt the sale should be postponed until next
spring or early summer in hopes that a better market would be available.
However, the sale should be completed prior to the assessment hearing on
Project 1973 -4. This will allow income from the sale to be credited to
the Project thus reducing the total assessment.
Attorney Meyers submitted a report on the open meeting law and summarized
it by stating that all city commissions, boards, and committees should
comply with the law.
Engineer Bearden's Report
Engineer Bearden reported that he examined the proposed NSP easement through
the Hemsworth property and recommends the easement be granted 192 feet south
of the north line of the property. This will allow the property to be sub-
divided into six lots for sale.
