Page 7 <br />September 8, 1975 <br />Councilman Baumgartner said acquisition of this land has been considered <br />before and the Commission would like to put an ice rink on this property. <br />MSP (Baumgartner- Hodges) to approve Resolution No. 688 declaring certain <br />lands as non - conservation; and requesting certain land be conveyed to the <br />City of Mounds View for park and recreation purposes. <br />Engineer Bearden said he met with homeowners on the north side of Ardan <br />about a week ago. They signed the agreement to let the City do the drainage <br />work on the driveway. He stated that the curbing installed to prevent runoff <br />into their driveways makes it difficult to enter the driveway in a car without <br />dragging. <br />The quote from Bituminous Roadways seems excessive, so he has asked for <br />prices from two other firms. <br />Mayor Johnson siggested Councilmen drive by and look at the situation. <br />MSP (Johnson - Hodges) to table the subject of the improvement necessary <br />to affect temporary drainage solution in Ardan Avenue /Red Oak area <br />until Council has more information on the matter. <br />Mr. Ingvald Johnson presented his preliminary plat for a major subdivision <br />at 8384 Long Lake Road. <br />MSP (Johnson - Shelquist) to set a public hearing on Ingvald Johnson <br />major subdivision for 8:45 p.m. on September 22, 1975. <br />MSP (Shelquist- Baumgartner) to set a public hearing on October 6th at <br />7 p.m. for proposed 1975 city budget. <br />Engineer Bearden presented a preliminary plan for construction of the city <br />hall parking lot. <br />The plan consists of 75 parking spaces, concrete curb and gutter around <br />the entire parking lot with separate access on Edgewood Drive to the <br />police department. The estimated cost for this Project is $25,150. <br />Mayor Johnson asked about lighting for the parking lot. <br />Engineer Bearden said flood lighting on the building or a mast with <br />directional flood lights on the islands could be used. <br />MSP (Hodges - Shelquist) to accept the plan presented for construction of <br />the parking lot to include the lighting system and the cost of the line <br />to be installed for filtration plant #1 and to eliminate the sealcoating <br />and eliminate five parking spaces on the southwest side of the lot for <br />landscaping purposes. Striping of the parking lot shall be included <br />in the bid.
