-7- <br />Mayor Johnson asked if he was planning to build a berm out <br />there, and he replied, yes. I want the rock also even though <br />it isn't necessary with the berm. <br />Mayor Johnson asked if there were any citizens with any <br />questions or comments. There were none. <br />MSP (Shelquist- Hodges) to authorize the administrator and the <br />city attorney to prepare a final development contract for the <br />Mermaid Bowling Alley incorporating the various stipulations <br />and agreements reached with the City Council and the Planning <br />Commission and that it be prepared for action at the Council <br />agenda meeting, Monday, March 15. <br />The administrator stated that the only thing that is necessary <br />to be done is to draw a plan for the berm on the west side. <br />Mr. Hall stated that he hated to have a meeting called on his <br />behalf, but the chances are that he would be able to operate <br />the very following day and thus he would want to go right now! <br />Councilman Shelquist stated that he should be aware of the <br />performance bond required. <br />A roll call vote was requested: <br />Councilman Pickar - aye <br />Councilman Shelquist - aye <br />Councilman Hodges - aye <br />Councilman Baumgartner - aye <br />Mayor Johnson - aye <br />MSP (Johnson - Shelquist) that a special meeting be held Monday, <br />March 15, 1976, at 8:00 p.m. for the purpose of reviewing, <br />negotiating and signing the development contract for the <br />Mermaid bowling alley. <br />Mayor Johnson asked for a 5 minute recess. Council reconvened <br />at 10:06 p.m. <br />Lease of city hall space to the Mounds View School District. <br />Jack Vaupel and Sandy Hershhovitz were present and stated <br />that the Mounds View School District Board met tonight also <br />and is in agreement with the lease and ratified it tonight <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Johnson stated that some of the terms of the lease were <br />as follows: 2 offices, 555 sq. ft. and 247 sq. ft. and an <br />additional room on an as- needed basis. It will be leased <br />from March 8 to June 30, 1976, with an option to renew on <br />September 1 to June 30, 1977, at $4 a square foot. <br />5 ayes. <br />5 ayes <br />MSP (Johnson - Pickar) to approve the real estate lease between <br />the City of Mounds View and Independent School District 621. 5 ayes <br />Mr. Vaupel requested a letter answering his questions about <br />prorated rent, phone installation, and use of the facilities <br />at times other than those specified in the lease. <br />
