PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A regular meeting of the Mounds View City Council was called to order by Mayor Johnson <br />on March 22, 1976, at 8:00 pm, at Mounds View City Hall, 2401 Highway 10, Mounds View, <br />MN. 55112. <br />Present: <br />Mayor Johnson <br />Councilman Hodges <br />Councilman Baumgartner <br />Councilman Pickar <br />Councilman Shelquist <br />Also present: Clerk -Adm. Achen <br />Atty Meyers <br />Engineer Bearden <br />MSP ( Pickar- Shelquist) to approve the minutes of March 8, 1976, regular meeting. 5 ayes <br />Mayor Johnson announced that the special meeting, to be held on March 15, for the <br />purpose of reviewing, negotiating and signing the development contract for the <br />Mermaid Bowling Alley was not held. <br />The Mrs. Jaycees presented the City Council with a 100 cup coffee pot to be used <br />in the community room in the city hall. <br />Proposed new Chapter 93, Public Health Housing Code. Attorney Meyers has reviewed it <br />and made some suggested changes. He stated that since Chapter 93 is 17 typewritten <br />pages long he would dispense with the reading of the ordinance. For anyone interested, <br />it will appear in the paper and citizens may obtain a copy from the office if they <br />care to read it. <br />MSP (Baumgartner- Hodges) to adopt Ordinance # 245 to amend Chapter 93. 5 ayes <br />The engineer firm of Banister and Short, represented by Mr. Roger Short, explained <br />to the Council where they are in preparation of a storm drainage plan for the city. <br />He stated that they have completed almost all of the work preparatory to writing the <br />preliminary report. Further, they have finished reviewing the data through the <br />city engineer's office and have placed it in map form. This was illustrated and <br />explained. Mr. Short also stated that there was noted a substantial increase in <br />ground water levels from February 5 to March 5, and it may be advantageous to read <br />on through May to give them a picture of what happens under precipitation conditions <br />that would differ from the run off conditions. <br />Councilman Pickar asked how much longer they anticipated they would need to extend <br />the readings. Mr. Short replied it would be until at least May 1 <br />Councilman Shelquist inquired as to how long it would be after the cessation of <br />readings to have the report completed and Mr. Short replied it would be ready about <br />the 1st of June. He also said that they would be making an application in writing <br />asking for the extension <br />Tony Jambor, 5394 Edgewood Drive, said that he has a 60 x 100 foot small hole <br />in which he wants to put in coarse fill and seed it to use for further parking purposes. <br />Robert Carlson, 2189 Mississippi Circle, said that he has knowledge of problem areas <br />through his building in the city and will convey to Mr. Short anything that he has <br />regarding water problems. <br />
