Councilman Shelquist stated that he agreed but he just cannot see throwing away $2,000. Acting Mayor Hodges stated that he thought we should go through with it. Engineer Hubbard stated that he would study and see how much the water line for Greenfield Park would be. Councilman Baumgartner asked if this area can be revised or do you need a motion on it tonight. The cost may already be in the park budget. MSP (Baumgartner - Hodges) to authorize the expenditure of the following monies by account number in the 1976 budget based upon revenue estimates submitted by the administrator which indicate that there will be adequate funds to cover these expenditures and to still avoid using prior year surpluses to balance the budget. Councilman Shelquist amended the motion to delete Item 7. Amendment failed for lack of a second. Achen stated that he received a formal amendment to the CETA agreement. The effect is to authorize extention of the program beyond July 1, 1976. The original agreement provided for employment only through June 30, 1976. He needs Council's approval to execute the agreement. MSP (Pickar-Baumgartner) to authorize the administrator to execute the amended CETA agreement. 4 ayes ATTORNEY MEYERS had no report. ENGINEER HUBBARD'S REPORT He would like Project 76 -1 to be approved and advertised for bids. The project includes sealcoating north of County Rd I. 17% will be for repair work. He suggests that bid opening be heard at 11:00 am July 26, 1976, for Improvement Project 1976 -1. $39,600 is the estimate.
