August 23, 1976 Page 10 <br />Mr. Dahlager stated that he was talking to the park manager T shb ^'mentioned <br />this matter. Mr. Dahlager then called the City Hall to find out when the <br />meeting would be. Administrator Achen stated he sent letters to all of the <br />mobile park owners and managers with a copy of the ordinance and then another <br />letter when the council postponed action. Basically, the letters of response <br />stated that they did not feel tt wds -worth --it:; <br />Mr. Dahlager had no personal objections to tie downs and stated that Indiana <br />requires tie downs by state law. The home owner bears the entire cost in <br />Indiana where they use the auger type of tie down. <br />Councilmember Rowley stated that'tie'_downs are a must. There are restrictions <br />on single family homes too. <br />MSP (Pickar - Rowley) to delay this matter until the Administrator looks at <br />the po's'sibility of a'cbst" sharing plan and report to the Council. 5 ayes. <br />The meeting was recessed for ten minutes at 10 :10 p.m. The meeting was <br />reconvened at 10:20 p.m. <br />Mayor Pickar stated that Mr. and Mrs. Plasch were present. They got a lot <br />split but it was not done exactly as they wanted it. <br />Councilmember Shelquist reviewed this case and stated that the planning <br />Commission felt they had to go along with the even lot split. Mrs. Plasch <br />stated that they would go along with this under protest because they would <br />like to take the other portion of the lot back. The plaschs will deed that <br />portion over to their son. Mr. Plasch stated that he went ahead and had it <br />surveyed with the split in the middle of the lot. They wanted an uneven split. <br />Mr. Plasch stated they got a letter stating that the uneven split was approved, <br />but at the next meeting it was denied. <br />Mayor Pickar explained why they would rather split lots in the middle. <br />Councilmember'-Shelquist stated that the letter should- -not have -been sent. <br />and- once- again reviewed the proceedings of the planning Commission. <br />Mrs. Plasch asked if they needed anything else from the City. Attorney Meyers <br />stated that a copy of the minutes should be sufficient. Mrs. Plasch asked that <br />the minutes reflect that they are accepting under protest and feel they are <br />being denied their rights since they have been paying taxes on the property <br />all these years and still could not get the split they wanted. <br />REVENUE SHARING ACTUAL USE REPORT FOR ENTITLEMENT PERIOD 7, JULY 1, 1975 <br />THROUGH JUNE 30, 1976. <br />Administrator Achen stated the City must report to the Federal Government how <br />they will spend the actual money. <br />MSP (Baumgartner - Hodges) to authorize the Mayor to sign the Revenue Sharing <br />Actual Use Report. 5 ayes. <br />APPLICATION OF GORDON BOGGS, SALES MANAGER OF SOUTHWESTERN PUBLISHING CO. FOR <br />PEDDLERS LICENSE TO SELL BOOKS DOOR TO DOOR FROM AUGUST 24 TO SEPTEMBER 7, 1976 <br />Mayor Pickar stated there was no one present to represent this application. <br />
