January 9, 1978 Page 7 <br />Attorney Meyers reported-that the City had been served with a motion for temporary <br />injunction and a summons complaint regarding the truck parking ordinance and that <br />the temporary injunction was to stop enforcement but that the Court ruled in the <br />City's favor, so the Police Chief has been directed to issue citations. <br />Attorney Meyers reported that in'the James Refrigeration special permit case, the <br />Council was ordered to have depositions taken and that a clarification hearing <br />will be held on February 2nd to determine if they must take them. <br />Attorney Meyers reported that a citation was issued against one of the liquor establish- <br />ments in Mounds View for a violation by a dancer and that the defense attorney pointed <br />out that the owner was not on the premises at the time, so a new citation may have to <br />be issued to the manager who was on duty at the time. Attorney Meyers asked the <br />Council if they would like the matter pursued criminally or administratively. Mayor <br />Pickar replied that the Council would consider the matter and get back to him. <br />ENGINEER HUBBARD'S REPORT <br />Engineer Hubbard had no report. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HODGES REPORT <br />Councilmember Hodges reported that the Lions Club had returned a truck they had <br />borrowed from the City. <br />COUNCILMEMBER ROWLEY'S REPORT <br />Councilmember Rowley reported that the Lakeside Park Commission would not have a <br />quorum for the January 12 meeting, so it would be postponed until the next month. <br />However, the Commission desires input from the Mounds View City Council regarding <br />the Council's ideas on reorganization of the park operations. <br />COUNCILMEMBER ZIEBARTH'S REPORT <br />Councilmember Ziebarth reported that he has not had his report typed yet but will <br />have it ready soon. <br />MAYOR PICKAR'S REPORT <br />Mayor Pickar reported that he had visited the Spring Lake Park Community Center <br />during their open house and was impressed. <br />Mayor Pickar reported that the Appreciation Dinner is tentatively set for either <br />April 8 or April 29, and Administrator Achen reported that he would check on the <br />actual date of the 20th anniversary for the committee planning the dinner. <br />MSP (Rowley - Ziebarth) to adjourn the meeting at 9:15 PM. 4 ayes <br />p .mitted, <br />pectfully <br />Mar Achen <br />Clerk- Administrator <br />
